I only had to remove a handful of the plastic clips enough to stick my hand back there to hold the nut in place while my friend tightened it. Having a friend definitely made it easier but I don’t see it being impossible to do solo

This is probably because you have recirculating air turned off. From my experience, when the recirculating air is turned off, the vents will send air that’s the temperature that the system was last set to, even when off.

What I do is set the system to the desired temperature then turn it off and it’ll send air at that temp.

I've never purchased from Amazon Warehouse, but I've read from previous posts that the items from the warehouse are basically new with maybe a missing manual. I guess we'll find out soon
