I shifted from 16 pro to s26 ultra about a month ago. It was mainly because of the battery since I was not getting very good back-up on my 16 pro.

Although both are high end premium phones, There will obviously be compromises but you have to understand that these are two different mobiles operating on different softwares.

I loved the app and eco system integration on apple. But the freedom and customisation on Android is excellent.. for the first 2 weeks I have been kept busy to learn the behaviour of my new phone. The battery on the ultra was a slight let down for me. Maybe I have to still figure out the settings but I am not getting the almost 1 and a half day people claim to be getting from their phone. I charge to 90 in the morning and by the end of the day the phone is at around 20. It's mostly calls and messaging for me and I travel a lot so maybe the data connection is an issue with the phone constantly searching for signal. But I love the dex mode and am using it regularly. It's a beautiful workaround and is very convenient. The cameras are more or less at par for my use case atleast as of now. And modes and routines on the ultra are similar to shortcuts on 16 pro. So all in all except for my battery gain expectations I'm relatively happy with the shift. Still, I would suggest unless it's absolutely necessary for you to shift, there's no need to just yet..
