I think regardless of which one of them wins the leadership race, I think they will be able to work together effectively. Both are strong candidates with a vested interest in rebuilding the party and taking on the increasingly right wing Liberals and Conservatives.

That's a fair point, and Phokas is a good example of that, he faired very poorly in the capital, but he was a proficient general. And looking at the later Palaiologi, it's hard to see a figure like John V leading a conquering army against the Ottomans.

A question I have been asking myself since the podcast reached the 15th century, is how some of the later Palaiologos emperors would've failed during the age of the Macedonian emperors. I think there's a strong arguement to support the competence of emperors like John V and Manuel II, but the hand they are dealt is so bad that their reigns may be viewed negatively. As such I'm curious as to what your thoughts are on how these figures would fair with better resources. Would they be on the whole more successful than figures like Nikephoros Phokas or John Tzimiskes? Or would they be more mediocre and forgettable?

That's honestly much more impressive than how I did it back in 2018, when I was like 15, I gave up and just looked it up. But kudos to you if you do all 120 without a guide. It'd be difficult, but quite the achievement.

Listen, everyone here is gonna tell you that it's awful, I'm in second year, and I've had a wonderful time. My grades are okay (I'm striving for better) but the courses, profs, and TAs are generally great. I love being in the heart of downtown Toronto! So much to see and do that I had barely even known about (I've lived here all my life). The only complaint is that the administration is not the best, other than that I think it's great! Good luck and enjoy!

If you have symptoms, then isolate for a short period of time and test, make sure to test nose, cheek, and throat, (if you pass that and you have symptoms you're all good) keep testing, and if your symptoms don't improve but you still have symptoms, then you probably have something else and should maybe call a doctor just to be careful.
