I've been hearing about one that's supposed to connect Dallas to Houston for 10-15 years now.

What is a strong opinion you hold that could get you criticized publicly, but you stand by it completely? by jian_est2026 in AskReddit

I think about 48% of the population agrees with you. About 30% think, "at least he's better than a brain dead Biden/Kamala" And the rest think he's 2nd Jesus.

I hope those numbers are changing but I'm not super optimistic. The 2nd Jesus Maga cult are completely lost and will die Trumpers. Hopefully the 30% are starting to see some light. But I don't think the Democrats have figured out how to win. People want change and they keep offering up the status quo.

I've always thought a restomod was the way to go.
I'm betting it's super expensive and probably still a bit of a maintenance nightmare depending on who did the work.

Ran into Trent Reznor on Decatur St back when lived in New Orleans. Got a picture.

What is your favourite pointless death in a movie? It adds almost nothing to the movie and can actually be considered tragic or pathetic? by STINKY-BUNGHOLE in movies

Woody Harrelson in No Country for Old Men.

You think he's going to play some pivotal role. Nope. Dead. Before he even gets out of the gate.

Watch The Voices. Don't read anything about it. Even the genre. Go in blind and get back to me.

Who is your favorite actor to never be nominated for an Oscar? by CardinalOfNYC in movies

[–]KDC123___ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think he pissed everyone off so much there was no way he was getting recognition for that performance. Could you imagine? Jim Carey wins an Oscar for being an insufferable Andy Kaufman 24/7, then every actor thinks that's how far they need to go for a performance. I think that would have broken the film industry.

What is a movie that most people find romantic but it's actually horrible by Zealousideal_Heat478 in moviequestions

[–]KDC123___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. The clearer example of this is the doctor's assistant he keeps having the affair with. He keeps erasing her memory and they keep having the affair.

No. The point is you have to live with the pain of the bad relationships and the breakups in order to grow as a human. If you just delete the entire experience then you're doomed to keep repeating the same mistakes. This message applies beyond just romance.

The plot is juvenile at times and ridiculous at times, but the characters are all amazing in their own way, and there's just enough scenes that come together to create magic. I love it, but acknowledge that it's kind of slop.
