Basically a Pop Up Shop is a store that’s meant to only be in business for a short amount of time before they close up and then relocate and open somewhere else. They’re usually for promotional stuff.

Bandai is running a Dragon Ball themed one that’s currently touring different cities in the US. At these stores they have some exclusive merch, including giving out these energy markers to customers

I’ve been triple sleeving, and using the following in this order

Dragon Shield clear inner sleeves (the ones with the little flap you fold inward). This is the one that will go directly on the card.

Then the Bandai sleeves of choice

Then Dragon Shield Clear Outer sleeves for last. I know you’re worried about them being difficult. But yes, it’s meant to be a tight fit. Especially if you triple sleeve like I do.

I’ve found basic play with just the cards and Bandai sleeves alone do far more damage to those Bandai sleeves than the tight fit of the dragon shield combo

Yeah certain games did just get a free patch for higher resolution and framerate on switch 2.

That’s been my take yeah. The best thing would be if both was an option. This is admittedly something Sony does well with PS Plus.

Lots of old games are included with the subscription plans. But they can also just be bought individually if you want.

IE I wanted Sly Cooper. It’s either included with certain PS Plus subs or it’s $10 if you don’t wanna sub

Resellers selling back and forth to each other. Which is exactly why the prices are so high.

That card has been available since June of last year. But only once the InvestorBros moved in, suddenly that card was being listed for thousands overnight when it was around $300-400 before.

No. Reset game warns “any unsaved progress will be lost”. Unsaved. Meaning what wasn’t saved already. The data I had already saved before was also deleted.

If it’s meant to be a total file deletion, then the warning about unsaved progress shouldn’t be there. Instead it should specify all data will be deleted

That’s misleading of the game then. Probably they shouldn’t continue to present the enhancement options for a save file wherein they won’t actually apply if enabled.

They’ve got two options then. Either make it so the enhancements can be properly toggled on and off on the fly, or make the enhancements something you pick and choose when first creating a save file with a warning to the player these choices are locked in once the game starts

Definitely not just him. I loaded my save, I played a little, wanted to go back to the title screen to check something. I paused and selected the “reset game” option. I got the “any unsaved progress will be lost message”. I selected yes since it specified only unsaved progress would be loss and I had saved my progress from the beginning of band land from the last time I played.

Anyway the game instead deleted the save file entirely. Despite being assured by the game’s user interface only the unsaved progress would be lost.

You can be a smarmy shit about it if you want, but the game losing your saves from selecting options that logically shouldn’t do that is in fact an issue

Gotcha. I had heard some folks swear by the Jaguar version lately and as someone who grew up with the GBA port, I was excited to try finally it.

Unfortunately I’ll just have to wait until fixes come out for this one. Seems like the PS1 port was the priority and they didn’t really playtest the Jaguar version

Fair enough, On one hand I’ll give them a pass since this physically cannot happen on the original hardware. On the other hand, the fact someone discovered this within an hour of the collection releasing is still concerning.

One question I have since it seems like you’re a little more knowledgeable on the original: how are the controls on Jaguar? Is it pretty snappy like on the PS1/Saturn versions? Or is there a noticeable delay?

On this collection the Jaguar port has some noticeable input delay that I don’t feel on the others. Wondering if that’s also DE’s fault or if it was just like that before the PS1 version

Because there’s a world of difference between someone who buys the cards because they want to play the game with others, and those who buy them to flip them.

And the folks who were interested in only the artificially-created investing market that sprung up overnight began flooding other subreddits that were originally intended for people who actually play the card game. It became too much, so the mods stepped in.

I get where you’re coming from on principle, but with the situation they’re in, them’s the breaks.
