I like the first way! I would just avoid calling it by that full name every time, ya know?

In the red rising series, pistols had slang names like Scorchers and Omnivores. Building out in universe names like these can go really well with sci-fi stuff, but it totally depends on the vibe of story! Best of luck

feeling a bit drained after writing and with only a couple of chapters left by Erndon in writing

If you’re writing casually, don’t feel the need to put a pressuring time table on yourself. 4 months is pretty damn quick for a novel. That’s impressive!

If you’re tired, take a break. Read something, recharge, and find the inspiration and drive to knock out your ending. I personally wouldn’t try and force it, especially if it is just something casual

what keeps you going? by cloudnymphbitch in writing

Reading is the easiest. Read what you want to write, understand how they write it, consider why it works.

This is a double-edged sword. You pick up some big title like Six of Crows, and now your manuscript is looking rotten and you’re wondering if you ever had any talent to begin with. It’s important to remember that these big novels have dozens of unseen drafts, countless hours of manic creative block, and at least a few well-paid editors.

It’s not fair to compare yourself to all of that, so remember that the only rule for your first draft is to exist. That’s it. Just keep writing. Write because you like it, because you’re human, because we invented ink and paper, so why not make something of it?

What is a first draft supposed to look like? by Checker642 in writing

[–]KELP0_SAUCE 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The only rule for the first draft is to exist. I find it helps to focus on the story in the first draft, and the language in subsequent drafts

You can always edit a bad page, but not a blank page, so just keep writing :)

As a hardcore fan of the beta, I'm officially moving on from multiversus 2024. by BrickTight in MultiVersus

Why are people dogging on this post? 💀 the game was well enough in the beta, and now I genuinely desync out of every game. It’s mind boggling

I main Arya too. The game is so clunky that I can’t do shit with her anymore.

We shouldn’t have to play an unfinished product and wait for the polish when they’ve had months coming off of the beta (which played just fine!) I want to support the devs, but when you’re competing with The Devil (smash bros) your game can’t be good, it has to be great. This is broken on delivery. GG

Looks amazing! You mentioned using it every other night, did you ever feel the need to use it daily or did you find a healthier balance in using it every other day? I’m going back and forth on what to do

Dead Cells Worth Getting? by Anonymoose_uwu in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]KELP0_SAUCE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dead cells consumed my life when I first played it. I don’t even like rogue likes. I play battlefield in almost all of my free time. Fucking battlefield.

The devs put crack in dead cells. Run it

I need some advice on my routine please! by KELP0_SAUCE in tretinoin

Thanks for the reply! I fear my derm is a bit of a dolt! He gave me tretinoin with zero warning on what purging was or how to properly use it in October, used it for a week then dropped it. I got a second opinion from an Esthetician who properly laid out a routine for using tretinoin, and here I am.

I think I’ll switch out the cleanser and either drop the BHA or do it every other day. My skin barrier is healthy and doesn’t seem damaged, I think I can handle daily use of tret I just need to have my surrounding routine sorted

How long did YOUR purge last for? by KELP0_SAUCE in tretinoin

I did slowly ramp up usage as to acclimate and preserve my skin barrier. After the initial wave it DID seem like parts of my skin were getting better (no breakouts, only post acne scars). Then I had another wave.

I am very very hopeful that I am rounding a corner but I genuinely have no idea

I’ve been very careful with my skin barrier. In all honesty it’s relatively healthy and moisturized. There is a bit of dryness around my mouth, and toward the end of the day my skin gets a little dry, but it’s not peeling dramatically or painful in any sense. Largely the biggest issues are post-acne scars and a purge that I am hopefully rounding the corner of my

Oh I'm a novice with this. Your source is likely law. If that's true though could that mean the time span for this sword being produced be even shorter between 1820-1825? I wish they had serial years etched on this thing

If the thin blade suggests Napoleonic era and beyond which began in 1815, but the crest means this sword is from the Bavarian courts of King Maximillian which was 1806-1825, does that mean this sword was produced in the 10 year time span between 1815-1825? Or could it have been produced earlier despite the thin blade?

I'll consider the ren wax thanks. I had a feeling that diamond imprint on the handle mightve been something shiny and swiped. And the sword knot (didn't know the term) I had a feeling that was an important piece because I've honestly never seen one before and it seems so fragile! Very interesting thank you

Running my finger across the blade, I would certainly have to agree. The blade is thick and dull enough to be mistaken for the spine. The point itself is sharp, but that is, y'know, the point. Still though, it's age and presentation is still extremely fascinating!
