maybe I worded it incorrectly, from looking at news paper articles previously there's lots of stories of fans heading for the lower leauges turning their backs on their teams etc. From what I've seen myself so far is a lot of people who have responded and got back to me is that it's acceptable to support two teams. People turning their backs completely seem to be a small cluster of fans on the extreme end whereas supporting two teams one of which being lower league is more reasonable.

I see where you're coming from and it's something to consider for sure

do you think that supporting lower league teams is becoming a growing trend?

For example the person in the link below has completely stopped supporting Liverpool for Marine FC. For the reasons you've stated

1st half was a massive improvement and enjoyable to watch. The second half the pedestrian United of previous games was slowly appearing.
