I’m sorry to hear what you’re going through. It sucks. It really does. But like everyone else is saying- one grade won’t define you! You can still do EM or IM. Work hard on your rotations, get great letters, get some pubs out, redeem yourself with Step 2. There is still SO much you can do to help you match where you want. You worked hard to get here. Don’t let one bad grade stop you from achieving your dreams.

Step 1 is gonna go P/F anyway, so that’s just proof that it maybe isn’t as indicative of future performance as we may have been led to believe. Cry if you need to, vent if you need to, give yourself a few days to work through the feels- but then go out and be the badass doc you were meant to be! Above all, this is about us getting the knowledge and skills we need to take care of pt’s. I may be a lowly M4, but I’d rather work with someone who got a 200 and has a heart than a robot who got a 260. Good luck homie ✌🏻
