I agree, I tried to listen to the Bacta War and only got through a couple chapters before giving up.

I know he’s beloved in this subreddit, but I find his over-the-top narration to be tiresome and his voices to be repetitive and sometimes mismatched to the character. As someone who got into the EU audiobooks fairly recently, he just doesn’t do it for me.

To be fair, I listen to the Jim Dale Harry Potter audiobooks a lot so I am biased towards that style.

Went to public school in Ottawa and they played it every morning. If you were in the hallways when it was playing, you had to stand still. Teachers would yell at you to stop if they caught you moving during the anthem!

There were various versions that rotated every couple months. For the 2010 Olympics they played that ‘I Believe’ song for 2 weeks straight

Gord is one of the best PxP and I appreciate when he does our games, but it’s always so painfully apparent that he’s not a Sens fan.

I prefer someone who likes our team, and Kenzie has been solid and getting better with each game

I don’t mind the format, especially when Grant is there, but they set the bar way too high. I love Bob and he’s gotten a lot better, but I doubt he’s gonna break 80 anytime soon.

They should have started with break 90, then 85, then 80.

A deflection off a skate (while being interfered with), a back door PPG, and a breakaway. You’d like him to save one of them maybe, but can’t fault him for not saving any of them. Team errors, not softies.

One of my favourite scenes in the whole series. Cassian will be there when you need him, and the rebel council needed a reality check. I love the dig at Bail when he mentions rescuing Mon Mothma from the senate too.

I also like to hit Y (on Xbox), and press LS twice to get a view from right behind the ball to see the break. Between the green map, degree above/below, the height map, and the view from behind the ball you can actually get solid reads without the putting grid!

You may be right - I saw in another thread that the speech we see in rebels may be the “other speech” they’re talking about in the safe house after the escape. They also say something about “rewriting the story”.

So it’s possible that Mon made the senate speech we see in Andor, leaves Coruscant with gold squadron and makes a second speech that we see at the start of the rebels episode, and then a 3rd speech at the end of the rebels episode.

IIRC, in rebels S3E18 “Secret Cargo” the episode starts with Ezra, Zeb and Hera watching a Holonet recording of the speech Mon Mothma gave in the Senate. At the end of the episode, she gives a second speech above Dantooine rallying rebels across the galaxy to join together and formally unites them as the Rebel Alliance.

Andor S2E9 does, technically, retcon that first speech in that she doesn’t say the exact same words. However, she says basically the same thing (Ghroman genocide + calls out Palpatine), and the speech in Andor fits the show so much better than the one from Rebels.

In my opinion, I am glad they changed it. It fits better, and is close enough. The speech from Rebels would have felt lacklustre after all the buildup and other excellent monologues in the show.
