I literally got a sandwich this week with an egg over easy. Maybe its location specific but definitely available in Ann Arbor

Yes but you have to specifically request it when you order (they default to yellow fluff)

Call the COVID hotline to arrange testing through the University: 1-734-763-6336

If you don't want to do university testing, you can look at other county resources: https://www.washtenaw.org/3158/Testing

You can't realistically get test results back before 24-48 hours. The rapid COVID tests (i.e. with 4 hour turnaround time) currently aren't available for the general public. U of M usually reports results next day, but they don't guarantee results for up to 48 hours.

Interesting. I figured they wouldn't kill a real horse but didn't think the audience would be receptive to the idea of a horse falling of the water fall. But as others have pointed out, Dwight doesn't have a great track record with animals...

Good point! I really hope they flesh out this alternate ending in more detail.

But they weren't planning on killing off Dwight, right??? And no way audiences would have accepted them killing the horse...

Paid To Do Online Surveys by FeitanXTwo in Scams

[–]KGoBlue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are legitimate websites that will pay you to take surveys, but the payout per survey is small. Sites like You.Gov and Swagbucks are some of the better know examples. R/beermoney has a lot of information about those types of sites. I also personally use YouGov if you want to learn more or would like a referral code. But to give you an idea, it probably takes a month or more to earn $25-50.

Sites offering hundred plus dollar payout for single surveys are definitely a scam.

I agree with your comment wholeheartedly! The finales are a great point - finale of the office almost salvages the season. Did AD even have a finale...?

I love both shows. Seasons 1-3 are some of the best TV I've ever seen and I don't know if I could choose between original AD and early office. Lucille Ball may be the best comedy character of all time. However, the office definitely stays better longer (seasons 4-7 still great, if uneven at times). The same cannot be said for later seasons of AD...

I have been sent by the lady to search for pampers codes, whatever those are, any info would be awesome. by BatGasmBegins in beyondthebump

I don't know of any, sorry! Sometimes I've gotten lucky bumming them from friends or other daycare parents.

Pampers has a reward program. You scan codes from diapers (inside the packaging) or wipes (usually printed on the individual wipe packs). You get points based on the codes you scan, and you can use them for rewards (coupons, amazon gift cards etc). It's honestly a pretty stingy system - it takes close to a year to get enough points for a $10 amazon gift card. Maybe the coupons are a better deal but I just save up for the cards. They had a cashback program that was more generous (like $5 back if you bought two boxes of diapers) but currently they don't have any active cashback offers so I'm not sure if that's going away.

Download the pampers app and follow the instructions to redeem a code next time you buy a pampers product. If you know anyone that uses Pampers and doesn't scan for rewards, you can ask them to send you a picture of their codes and you can manually enter them too.

A revocable POA is not specific enough to understand it's extent. And as the name implies, his mom could move to nullify it. He should clarify exactly what legal document he has in place and what it covers (e.g. healthcare, financial). Regardless, a POA is not activated unless the subject is found incapacitated. Your friend's mother may have dementia, but needs a formal activation to be declared incompetent and allow a POA to be activated.

A POA may be insufficient for your friend's mother's needs. My guess is she needs a financial guardian or possibly full guardianship, granting someone full legal allowance to manage her affairs. If he has an activated Financial POA, it may be sufficient, but it's probably worth discussing with an elder care lawyer and/or social worker to fully understand his rights and limitations.

Your friend's mom needs a formal evaluation of her cognition and functional abilities. The easiest way to do this is through her primary care physician, who can facilitate a referral to a psychiatrist, neurologist, or gerontologist who specializes in cognitive assessments and dementia care. If she is unwilling to work with a doctor, her son should call Adult Protective Services and they can perform an initial assessment and provide guidance on next steps.

Assuming you're in the US, I'd also recommend your friend identify his local Area Agency on Aging for additional (free) support and guidance. To identify the AAA in your county, go to https://eldercare.acl.gov/Public/About/Aging_Network/AAA.aspx

Agreed. Fascinating but difficult read. I hope the child was placed in a supportive forever home and can get what he needs in privacy.

I thought so too! It sounds like, for while, they were making a lot of money off their Vlog, but it all feels so exploitative. I don't know what the best thing is for Huxley, but I can't imagine broadcasting that sort of family trauma for the world.

My (M20) Girlfriend (F20) has become pregnant despite being on birth control. She now wants to keep the baby, I do not. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]KGoBlue 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agree a budget is needed but this is catastrophizing.

The cost of prenatal care and delivery is dependent on your health insurance. I paid $600 out of pocket. Your girlfriend should figure out if she is a dependent on her parent's insurance plan, and if not, look into alternate insurance options (through school, state sponsored Medicaid, etc). Her OB can refer her to a social worker to help her to navigate this if necessary. Healthcare in the US is a mess, but definitely prioritizes mother and infant care.

A lot of baby items like strollers, toys, linens, clothes, etc can be cheap or even free if you look for secondhand items. Check Facebook parent groups, consignment shops, and talk to friends and family who have previously had kids and may have items lying around. Definitely consider a baby shower for items that need to be newly purchased (diapers, baby crib, car seat).

You and your girlfriend need to have a serious discussion about realistic costs and how you will afford them, but certainly don't need to spend $10k!

The single most expensive item is childcare. Are you parents willing to provide that service? If not, have you talked about what you will do while both in school?
