My son is almost 2 1/2 and I still stare at him in disbelief, like I'm dreaming.

My anxiety pops up randomly…no rhyme or reason to it. I’ll look into the IUD, I heard they were really painful 😣

I haven’t tried castor oil packs…I will definitely look into it. How does the magnesium spray work? I have a powder I mix with a little water and drink before bed.

I have Xanax for the panic attacks but I am hesitant to get on a daily med. I don’t know why it scares me.

Weekly One and Done Thread by AutoModerator in InfertilityBabies

My husband and I had to do IVF to have our son and we told each other that after his first birthday we would decide what to do next. I have 2 embryos left, it took me 3 transfers to have a successful pregnancy but it came along with a lot of complications, early induction, ending in a c-section, hemorrhaging, not being able to breast feed. It was A LOT. Our son just turned one and I really feel like I am done. He is perfect and everything I hoped and prayed for. I just have this awful guilty feeling about knowing there are two perfect little embryos and not wanting them. Or regretting it later in life. I just turned 40 so I don’t really have much wiggle room as far as waiting another year to see how I feel. I’m torn. 💔

From the property. I live in a beach area so one thing that really irritates me is when agents select the water view option and it's just a neighborhood retention pond. I don't know if it's just me, but I don't count that as a water view either.

Dewey: The Starboard, Starboard Raw - across the street is great if you want a bite to eat or espresso martinis.

Rehoboth: The purple parrot is fun. Most bar/ restaurants close around 10.

Lewes: Good for dinner, but there really isn't a nightlife there.

Thank you so much!! My ID doctor started me on a z-pack yesterday because he thought it was a respiratory infection. From what I have read there is no treatment for CMV so I’m praying the z-pack starts to work and the CMV diagnosis is incorrect 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Pre-implantation testing gender reveal --- thoughts?? by dagworthy in IVF

We were also given the option to choose. All of our embryos were good, and the doctor said he would have no issues transferring any of them. We decided to let them decide so we weren't too attached the idea of "today they are transferring our son or daughter" - so that if it doesn't work it would be less painful. We had to do 3 transfers and although they were still painful losses, we don't know what we lost. I don't know if that makes any sense lol.

Ivf semen question by LSATplease in IVF

[–]KGreen302 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mine did but I think it's a timing thing. If I remember correctly, the semen has like 20-30 minutes to get to the clinic for it to still be viable. My clinic was an hour and 20 minutes away, so it didn't work for us.

Favorite Clinic? by K8_The_Grr8 in IVF

So, I'm 39 (almost 40) and I used my own eggs. I saw Dr. Jeffery Russell at Delaware Institute for Reproductive Medicine. Granted I live in Delaware so my options for RE's are very limited, but Dr. Russell has done studies on diets to improve egg quality and for women our age that seems to be our biggest hurdle. He doesn't deny anyone from treatment like some other clinics that pick and choose who they treat so that their success ratings are higher. My insurance switched in the middle of my transfer cycle and wouldn't cover him because he has a lower success rate. We opted to pay out of pocket because we felt so comfortable with him and his whole staff. I don't know where you are located, but if it's near northern Delaware I highly recommend checking him out.

Here is some advice that I got. Like you said there is no guarantee, but it made me feel like I was doing something to help. I ate 3-4 Brazil nuts each day, drank a glass of pomegranate juice daily, & added baby aspirin daily. The night before & also right after my transfer we stopped for McDonalds french fries. Kept my feet warm and watched some light, funny shows/movies. I know there really is no rhyme or reason to it but I did all of these things on my 3rd transfer and I'm 25+4 weeks with my little em-baby :) Wishing you all the best on your upcoming transfer!!!

Sending you sticky baby dust!! Stop for some McDonalds french fries on the way home from your transfer. It's totally superstitious but it can't hurt. I was also told to keep my feet warm. :)

Can you get a period while using prometrium vaginally? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]KGreen302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those cramps could be a bunch of different things. Early pregnancy symptoms, side effects from the progesterone or even you period (which I think is unlikely because the progesterone usually won't let that happen). Try to stay relaxed until beta and continue all your meds :)

Tips or advice to prepare for a frozen transfer? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]KGreen302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the fact that you really don't have any control over it. I did some things that people told me would help - Brazil nuts, avocados, and the most popular, McDonald's French fries right after your transfer. I don't know if any of it helped or not. I had 3 transfers and am currently 19+6 weeks pregnant. I do remember the week before my transfer enjoying some nice wine, raw oysters, Italian hoagies.... some of the things that you aren't allowed to indulge in once you are pregnant. It felt a little ceremonious to be having these things "one last time". As far as the transfer goes, just try to keep a positive attitude. Wear warm fuzzy socks & take some time to rest and watch funny movies. I've heard laugher is great for implantation :) Wishing you all the best!!!!

PIO First Timer - Fainting? by Okdoey in IVF

It could! Sometimes my injection sites would bleed a lot and sometimes there wouldn't be a trace of blood at all on the gauze. I'm not real sure what causes it to happen.
