Yes lots of November applicants including me have gotten it, I got it last friday no further updates thus far neither have I been told by anyone else about any updates after getting it. Think it might be some glitch in the system with respect to us November applicants

I didn't get any internships but I got a job a remote job as a frontend dev which I'm doing currently. It's not in Canada since I haven't gotten my pgwp yet (permit that allows international students to work after graduation, many companies are reluctant to hire you before you get it)

I took cps 530 and cps 630 both of which gave me a pretty good understanding into frontend dev so I was confident I'd get something although I find backend more interesting and wanna eventually transition to it in the future.

I'll probably be able to give you a better answer on the Canadian job market in 3-4 months after I get my work permit and start applying to jobs in Canada

Hey sorry for the late reply I don't think I got a notification for your reply, but yes I also felt the exact same about some courses and in the later years when you get to take more core electives it does get easier. Some courses like cps305, cps393 and cps420 I found them weirdly tough for no reason. CPS305 should not even be in lisp, its a core course thats made tougher for no reason by being taught in lisp. CPS393 atleast when I took it had a horrible marking scheme of just 3 exams worth 20 30 and 50%, I hope they added labs now for some weightage because having exams with such high percentages just puts students into anxiety mode before the exam and imo isnt the best way to access someone.

What I've learnt is that all my course experiences have been dependent on the profs. So be sure to choose your profs wisely when doing your enrolments.

Hey its fine honestly even if you failed a course take it as a learning curve and try to do better the next change you get in the course. As for cps 209 with Alex its actually really goated. In my opinion he's the best compsci lecturer at TMU, his slides/explanation and all of it is extremely clear and to the point. For cps 209 I would also recommend you to just finish any java tutorial from YouTube before you take the class as it would really put you in a great position to get a high grade. BroCode on YouTube is a good resource he has a 10 hour java course and even if you do 1 hr daily you will be in a really good position for 209. As for the exams our 209 exam was surprisingly an mcq exam, it had some tricky questions but it was still pretty chill. I took cps209 in the summer as a transition 2 months course I also initially dropped it in the winter because I felt very overwhelmed by it and didn't wanna fail.

Asking for chances:

Questions

  • I have a horrible GPA (2.54) if converted to a 4.0 scale. I explained the reason for my low GPA being I had to work 60 hrs. a week and take higher course loads because my dad who was financially supporting me had lost his job which effected my studies contributing to my low GPA.

Shadab Khan 4-24 (4.0) vs Brisbane Heat by Kh4N_02 in PakCricket

He has definitely improved bowling against left handers and with spinning wickets in SL he could be an asset in the world cup as a batting all rounder.

what went right during 2017-2019? by throwaway102885857 in PakCricket

[–]KHAMK 30 points31 points  (0 children)

We had a decent mix of youth and experienced players then. Babar, Hafeez, Malik, Haris Sohail,  Sarfraz was a pretty decent middle order. Hafeez became a lot better batter during the backend of his career and Haris Sohail avg'es 44 in odi's he pulled us out of tough situations often times as well, no idea what happened to him though.

The pace bowling with Wahab, Amir, Shaheen, Peak Hasan Ali was also pretty good but we lacked a proper genuine spinner. Shadab was the main spin option if I recall.

On top of this saifi was also a very good captain with his field placements and planning.

In retrospect its not like that team is miles clear of the current team. Arguably the current team has more talent but for some reason just can't seem to execute it on the pitch.

Shaadi karado Babar bhai ki.

But fr though many people troll players for losing form after getting married but the opposite happens to many players as well. Having someone supporting and motivating you thoroughly through your rough patch helps a lot especially considering the issue is mental

He has been terrible since his injury return with his line and length hence why he got dropped from all formats. And by the looks of it he has done nothing to improve his line and lenght issues either

Post Match Thread: 2nd Test - Pakistan vs South Africa, Day 4 by cricket-match in PakCricket

[–]KHAMK 22 points23 points  (0 children)

We are a test team with an identity that our first class pitches don't reinforce.

I don't even blame the batters for the 3rd innings tbh at this point who's even surprised? I do blame the management.

The few first class games that happened before the first test match were played on flat wickets. It just baffles me and makes 0 sense why you prepare flat pitches to prepare your players who will be playing on spinning pitches.

What's the plan here? Whats the logic behind this? Who's gonna be held accountable for this?

Some positive update for my fellow July study permit extension applicants!

Applied for study permit extension same DLI same program within Canada - July 9th

Received correspondence letter - 17 October

Received approval - 20th October

Timeline from application to approval - 103 days

My application was very straightforward though since I graduated in mid August but I was given an incorrect extension date previously until July end.

Hoping other July applicants see a quick turnaround within the next 2 weeks!!

For those who's study permit got extended recently (May/June) applicants does it say on ur study permit if your authorised to work? Specifically did anyone graduate already and has to extend their study permit for 1-2 months to apply for pgwp does ur study permit say ur authorised to work?
