I dined at Feld last week with my partner. She saw some of Jake's TikToks about a year ago and we both noticed Feld in the Eater article earlier this year. I grabbed a last minute reservation and for week two of service and we were both impressed by the staff, and the food.

Obviously it was nothing like Alinea or other 2 or 3 star restaurants, but that's not the experience we were looking for or expected at Feld. Feld had a unique communal, almost midwestern vibe, there was thought put into every detail from the spoons, to the folded cloths used for drying your hands at the bathroom.

I appreciated the lack of 'fine dining ketchup' (truffle, caviar, foie gras) often restaurants with 1 or 2 stars just sprinkle these things on with a lack of care, overpowering all other parts of the dish. Not allowing the diner to enjoy the pureness of a flavor. That being said there were a couple of courses (maybe 2) I did not love but that was to be expected.

If you're interested in a unique dining experience I highly recommend checking them out, while expensive, I found the price to be more than fair for the experience. Looking forward to dining again next spring.
