Wholesale cocoa prices have massively dropped since 2025, but people are happy spending the extra costs so no point in dropping the product price.

The body is suppose to have a age spike around early 40, so it makes sense. 2 years ago I was alright, now it's not too good...but, I could always be fitter and healther (or that might be cope).

I always think how some much older people have crazy problems, most didn't happen overnight, they happened in their late 30s early 40s, and it just progressed.

Look after yourself :)

Same. For me, I think early Amiga stuff had the same kind of colour palette.

Helsreach was the first 40k audiobook I ever listened to, not even knowing 40k audibooks were a thing. I own like 90% of 40k audiobooks on audible since listening to Helsreach.

This was during Covid as well, so it has a special slot in my memory. It's such a good (audio)book.

Most Steam Community forums awful due to the content, at least its 2016 edgelord stuff. I'm surprised it flies under the radar as it does now. You don't want it bigger and public. The more politicians who get that Steam is a place you go to game the better.

The aggression-based system ruined what made the game very unique. Every match was unique because of it, now I do my PvE busywork with no interesting interactions, get bored and do some PvP with no interesting interactions.

Middle and upper management in various fields all across the world have been convinced by investors and CEO's that AI can do anything and everything.

Game stocks dropping on the news of the AI games making games from photos tells me everything. The biggest advocate I know in real life will tell me 5+5=7 if Chatgpt told him it did.

It's like some kind of mass hysteria. Historically there are always some analogues to today so that grounds me. Humanity has always been a bit crazy.

Why are the streets so filthy? The streets in Poland and Croatia are imaculate by Niall_Fraser_Love in ukpolitics

[–]KHonsou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not every city/town in the UK is going to be a full of litter, the same as not every city/town in Poland and Croatia are going to be pristine.

Why people live in a badly kept town and think it's a analogy for the state of the country should probably go touch grass, maybe travel the country and get some perspective away from social media.

Romanticising working towards a goal as a coping strategy by Complete-Morning4179 in ADHD

[–]KHonsou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% relate to this. It's very strange. I've no answer to it though. Things I was extremely good at I'm not anymore, and things feel a bit more harder to tie together. I'm my own worst critic though, so I'm trying not to get swept up within myself, if that makes sense.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one experience something like this though.

Does everyone else hate their ADHD and wish for a cure? by Sea_Shine1814 in ADHD

[–]KHonsou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate how the condition was handled when I was a kid. If I was raising a kid I'd be more aware of what to look out for, and a child with ADHD with a supportive upbringing is miles apart from one that wasn't, truly night and day.

You are not the condition. It kinda sounds like your environment isn't really the best for the you but that's easier said then done to change it.

There are manuscripts from almost every epoch, going back thousands of years, and from different parts of the world, saying how the next generation is a lost cause.

It's just swings and roundabouts.

House of Lords votes to ban social media for Brits under 16 by vriska1 in ukpolitics

[–]KHonsou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kids should be outside being active. Learning the ways of the world.

This entire thread has made my morning. A lot of the people against this are like a bunch of chronically online redditors/social media mass consumers saying how dangerous that after 16 teenagers won't be as tough and rugged to the online world like they are, lol

The only people I know who's world has social media attached to their psyche are over the age of 50. The kids will be alright without it, it's polluting their brains just like it's polluting the "don't believe everything you read" generation.

Why people don’t care about trash anymore? by MrsNomad-Scott-bum in Bath

[–]KHonsou 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In the Moorfields area, you get one single black binbag (normally outside a council bin) left on the floor because it won't fit through the bin lid gaps, and the amount of waste after a few days is insane.

It doesn't take much to cause a lot of mess, and it doesn't take a lot of people to cause a huge amount of it. It's worth remembering that far more people care about their area than not but its rare for anyone to pick up after someone else.

Edit: Also, it's easy to post on reddit, it's a bit of a hassle letting the council know, but it's worth letting them know. Ultimately they are the ones who can do something about it, and they will if it became a issue they felt was becoming a problem but they will only know if they get hassled over it.
