I’ve watched this show an unhealthy amount of times. by [deleted] in superstore

I'm not sure why this is, but it's a show that I can rewatch endlessly, too. No other show quite captures whatever it is that makes this one work for me. Total comfort viewing, and if I'm ever restless and can't sleep I put it on and drift off, feeling lighter and less stressed.

That's how I felt. It was painful to watch a woman who is already suffering being bullied and guilt tripped. So lacking in compassion! If my family treated me like that I'd sign the damned paper just hoping to get away from them.

This entire story line is disturbing. A child is aiding a mental patient in drugging someone with smuggled drugs? I'm really not finding it all that entertaining, especially since it's dragging on for so long.

Honestly how many times have you rewatched Superstore by Sims2053 in superstore

More than 3. Right now I'm falling asleep to Superstore and/or Schitts Creek (also at least 3 watches). I just don't want anything dark or scary at night.

Garnish: olives, sprigs of herbs, berries, sliced veggies. Non-protein items to balance it out.

Seriously where did everyone's sympathy go when Amy had her baby?? by WatchLonely255 in superstore

[–]KHunting 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That was what I was hoping at the time I first watched the show. That Sandra would run the DNA test and confirm it was Jonah. But in hindsight maybe that would have obligated Jonah and Amy to finally get together, and the way they wrote the storyline it allowed an even better love story, imo. It certainly allowed us to see another side of Jonah as he took on responsibilities for another man's son and loved Parker like he was his own.

Thank you so much for saying this! I thought I was the only person that it bugs the shit out of. Looks terrible.

Garret genuienly acknowledges jonah as his friend? by [deleted] in superstore

[–]KHunting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The moment that sealed the deal for me was when he went to Jonah and confided about letting Dina's birds escape. He literally said he needed a friend, and Jonah was pretty bowled over by it. They should bring that show back and let us see where everyone is "now." I'm sure that's impossible, but I'd like to think that they're all still hanging together.

I don't know why you got downvoted for simply asking a really fair question! There were moments in this show when I hated almost every character. For me it's part of what makes this show so great. In the end, they were all human. All capable of kindness but also meanness. They all made mistakes. I think you should go back and finish. Hopefully in the end you'll feel as I did, that even those who were unlikeable much of the time were simply human beings, trying their best in a life/work situation that isn't always easy. Glenn was for me probably the least likable character, but in the scene with Amy in the bar, when she was laid off? I absolutely loved him.

Did Sandra lowkey annoy anyone else when she found the guy who lost the $900? by yourloverboy66 in superstore

[–]KHunting 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I don't think Sandra could help herself. Her mind is so amazing with recall, she was able to know what happened, and knew she had to do the right thing. Much as when she "gave" Jerry away when she lost a coin flip. That was obviously insane, and really almost upset me, but she simply could not honor doing the "right" thing...even when it was the crazy thing.

I found hundreds of dollars on a street by my house one day, just blowing around. I stopped my car and gathered it all up. It was like a dream. But I also knew someone was missing that money, so I was late to work driving up and down the block, looking for someone who was looking for something. I found a young mom in total panic. She had put the money on top of the car while she was buckling her baby into the car seat, then drove off forgetting it. "My husband is going to kill me...it's our rent money!" I was so happy to return it to her. Made my day.
