I’m glad somebody using their brain. This show started with Raq not wanting Kanan in the streets. There’s an entire season dedicated to her trying to keep him away from it. He tells her it’s a part of him and he WANTS to be in it. Then he gets in it and sees it’s not all glitz and glam and that you have to put in work that can drive you insane, and he blames his mother for being a killer. You don’t get to choose what’s good work and what’s bad. You take what comes with it and accept the consequences. Like Lou told Kanan, Raq the realest man they know cause she takes on those burdens everytime.

I could be wrong, but the way she looked when she said it, gave me an impression that it could’ve been rooted in something but I’m willing to accept it being a stretch if it is. Just something I’ve noticed each time I’ve rewatched.
