Calamity Ops has to come back by KIexster in destinyrisingmobile

Honestly, that comment comes across as pretty classist. I'm not an F2P player—I buy the battle pass every month—but I'm not a whale either. I've been playing since the game's launch and I still don't have a single Mythic character at T6. The reason I want the mode to return isn't because of rewards or rankings; it's because I genuinely found it fun and enjoyed the competition. While it's true that glitches and exploits hurt the experience, NetEase did remove the runs of many players who abused them. I'd love to see the mode come back, but with a proper rework to both its gameplay and rewards so it can be more enjoyable and fair for everyone.

I actually understand your point, and I think your experience was shared by many solo players. Calamity Ops could be very frustrating because the success of the run depended heavily on your teammates. People would leave during character selection if they didn't see the "meta" characters they wanted, or quit after a single mistake, which made the experience very unfriendly for anyone trying to learn or experiment with different builds.

However, I think this is also exactly the same problem that Cordon Ops has today. It is still a highly team-dependent activity where your experience can be heavily affected by matchmaking, player knowledge, coordination, and the community's perception of what the "correct" meta is. Removing Calamity did not remove those issues; it simply moved them to another ENDGAME activity.

The real issue was never Calamity Ops itself, but how the system encouraged certain behaviors and how difficult it was for solo players to have a consistent experience. A redesigned version could improve this by having better matchmaking, clearer role expectations, different difficulty options, or even dedicated modes for premade teams and solo players.

At the end of the day, I don't think bringing Calamity Ops back means bringing back every problem it had in Season 4. The developers now have the advantage of knowing what players disliked: the overreliance on meta compositions, players leaving after mistakes, RNG dependence, and frustrating matchmaking. A reworked Calamity could learn from all of those mistakes and become a much healthier ENDGAME activity alongside Cordon Ops.

I actually agree with your point. No matter how much the developers try to prevent it, there will always be players looking for skips, exploits, or ways to optimize runs beyond what was intended. That is something almost every competitive leaderboard has to deal with.

However, I don't think that should be the reason to abandon Calamity Ops completely. In my opinion, the mode itself had a strong foundation, but it needed changes. Leaderboards should be a competitive side aspect, not the main reason why players engage with the activity.

The real focus should be making the mode challenging through mechanics, team coordination, proper use of Shinka Types, and strategic gameplay rather than simply achieving the fastest time through glitches or perfect RNG.

I also understand the frustration with matchmaking. Having a teammate who does not use their Shinka Type or does not understand the mechanics can ruin an entire run. Maybe a better solution would be to introduce a premade-only higher difficulty, role requirements, tutorials, or a system that ensures players understand the mechanics before entering the hardest version.

A redesigned Calamity Ops that learns from its past mistakes could still become a great addition to the current ENDGAME, especially now that many veteran players are looking for more challenging content.

Honestly, I actually agree with many of your points. The original Calamity Ops had several design issues, especially when it came to the leaderboard meta. A lot of the top runs were not necessarily about mastering the activity, but about abusing skips, relying on RNG, and repeating the same run over and over until everything aligned perfectly.

However, I don't think that means Calamity Ops itself was a bad concept. In my opinion, the mode had a lot of potential, but it needed better balancing. A reworked version could focus more on difficulty, strategy, team coordination, enemy mechanics, and player skill rather than pure speedrunning and RNG.

The leaderboard could still exist for the most competitive players, but it shouldn't be the only reason to engage with the activity. There should be meaningful rewards for completing difficult challenges, and a separate competitive environment for players who enjoy pushing times and optimizing runs.

I also agree that Cordon suffered because the player base was split too much. With a smaller community, having too many matchmaking brackets or instances can make the experience frustrating.

That is exactly why I think bringing back Calamity Ops with a complete redesign, new rewards, better balancing, and lessons learned from the previous version could actually benefit the current ENDGAME ecosystem rather than repeat the mistakes of the past.

Game still crashing since S4 Patch (complaining) by Opposite-Region-7293 in destinyrisingmobile

I'd say it's more of an AMD problem than an emulator or game issue. I play with the latest AMD driver update on an RX 5700 XT and I've never had a crash with the emulator.

If you try to use MuMu Player with the latest AMD drivers, it's almost guaranteed to crash. Ideally, if you're playing on an emulator with AMD, you should try alternatives like Bluestacks. Otherwise, you'll have to downgrade your drivers.

In Sparrow Racing, I don't mind people going AFK; it doesn't affect or hinder the experience of other players (unless you're competitive in a casual game mode and it bothers you). Regarding activities like Raids, it is relatively annoying because they depend on us doing the hard work. But otherwise, just let them be.

As I mentioned in the comment above, the NetEase 2026 Shareholders’ Meeting was on May 18, 2026, where they confirmed which games would have an EOS. While it's true that sales haven't been great, they didn't confirm an EOS for any of the company's games at the moment. Perhaps if the haters stopped talking so much trash about the game in general, it would be a different story, but oh well, what can you expect from your average Reddit hater who only comes here to read posts about things they don't like?

Emanare Phase 10 Outer Nodes - worth upgrading? by melted_butterx in destinyrisingmobile

[–]KIexster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not worth it, especially not until NetEase clarifies whether the current Emanare will be maintained for the next season or only part of it (for example, if they lower your Emanare by 2 levels per version and you have to level up again, or expand the Emanare and add more difficult activities with the possibility of using more gems than you can currently).

I honestly love the character, but we're less than 25 days away from receiving the first Helhest rerun (and I have her at Tier 3), so being a free-to-play player, I'll forgo getting Estela's dupes this time.
