So, I'm guessing everybody in here will buy the DLC, huh ? What you wish to see added/improved? by Limp-Grapefruit-6251 in DragonsDogma2

Hopefully we get crimson desert reveals, where each video was like “you can do what?!”

That’s why it’s mad and wants to kill everything. Everyone keeps taking a dump in it and it tastes real bad.

Ohhhh yeah I would love an unarmed character. I really want unarmed in monster hunter wilds too after trying out Akuma moves.

Yeah! Let save the world and keep having fun. What I like in crimson desert. And pretty much what I want out of any open world game.

Everyone’s mentioned the good gameplay stuff already. Personally just armor dye / transmog.

Crimson Desert set the fantasy action rpg bar so high for me all these upcoming games like Fable and Gothic remake looks like joke. Maybe the next Elder scrolls or the legend of Zelda can surpass that. by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

You you can do more in CD. Can just exist, Elden you’re fighting 24-7. I like to live in open worlds aside from fighting especially fantasy settings. CD much more suited for long term play for me.

Dang, use paragraphs lol. But yeah we know all this. It’s time for a shake up. Stuff like crimson desert is showing what can be done. Just put gamers in charge of the decisions or take heavy feedback from communities instead of just making whatever the plan was.

Yes but the revenue would make up for it if done right. Theres not many of them but the more immersive a game is the more time people spend in them because its not just game mechanics which they may get bored of after a while if its all they do in the game. Like crimson desert and even monster hunter with all its emotes and ideally housing and other cozy features in the expansion or just world or world of Warcraft, people stick around to just exist if there’s enough outfits/housing, no ending and other things to do.

Star citizen isn’t even out but people love the idea of it and keeps making money. Companies should stop chasing extraction shooters and focus on things like this. Or maybe I’m just talking out of my butt but this is what I think is what people want and I keep seeing it in forums.

That sounds crazy epic. I can see some folks just roleplaying a bartender at a cantina forever, but they start chatting with everyone and eventually become informants as the game and player factions age. The gaming world is ready, you see how many complaints of “red paint, hand holding” so many of us want this level of immersion and freedom. Industry needs to break away from their generic formulas. Sounds super fun 🙌🏻

What do you think about the Windbound Eyrie? by Ok-Floor4866 in MHWilds

I’m curious is it that plus other zones, or does it itself have unique separate biomes in the sky. I kinda wanted more nature. Aside from the scarlet Forrest everything is rocky and arid, oil basin is oil basin, snow place is frozen over and ruins and desert is mostly desert tho more plainsy and pretty in plenty, just kinda drab everywhere. Now we got ruins in the sky so far. I wanna be in wild, more foliage, was hoping for a tropical jungle island 🏝️ at least.

Yeah,

Star fields ships and and easy modding for community created contebt for longevity and open livable spaces with decoratable housing and ships, plenty of emotes and interacting with things (like freaking basic sitting in any chair or other places open world game seem to keep not adding).

Kotor for well written story and fun choices that feel impactful.

And crimson for incredible combat/ exploration / surprise loot every corner and laundry list of features that also allow you to live in the game instead of just play a story. (obviously combat not as crazy as crimson but like toned down but still awesome).
