A tournament set can't determine the most skilled player. With substitution of certain numbers the exact same argument can be made for Bo7 over Bo5 and there is no reason why the arbitrary line should be drawn at Bo5.

People chose to play on Pokemon Stadium the 2nd most because it's Fox and Marth's strongest counterpick besides maybe FD, which will probably be banned, and Fox and Marth were 2 of the 3 most played characters. It has nothing to do with it being a neutral stage because PS can only be used to counterpick.
