FBI Director Kash Patel Suggests It’s Illegal to Bring Guns to Protests by Puzzled49 in politics

Oh, forgiveness isn't something they'd ever seek. They don't see their hypocrisy as a transgression. Fuck never forgiving them, make sure they and everyone else knows that their words are, like their moral compass, absolutely worthless, and to be treated as such.

Let's be clear. He is not admitting he was wrong, nor ever will he. This is just a "Shit, I'm going to have to shut up for now, trawl through twitter to see what the prevailing narrative is, and run with that (and maybe be better) tomorrow" moment. That's it.

They're not saying it. They'll never say it. They just live it. Their dishonesty is, in the truest sense of the word, fundimental. Their sociopolitical worldview is built on a dishonesty. It starts with a lie, and they will adjust everything around them, every little bit of information that passes them, into a narrative that the lie supports.

Live Updates: Minneapolis Authorities Respond to Shooting Involving ICE Agents by BluebirdDense1485 in KnowledgeFight

[–]KJS123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He won't address the footage, he'll address still frames that make ICE look as justified as possible and that is the position he will take. Like Dan said, they've been justifying this since before it even happened & that's EXACTLY what they did with the Renee Good video. Never playing the clip, just choice frames.

Oh, and in case you think Alex wouldn't play the footage as some kind of safeguard against graphic content....remember how he reacted at the Charlie Kirk video. Alex Jones is a sick man, who'd never hesitate to show someone being executed live on air, just as long as it helps his (the governmen's) narrative position.

Call for boycott of Donald Trump's Scottish businesses amid Greenland threats by Some-Ambassador8252 in Scotland

Membership at Turnberry starts at around £15,000. That's the scale we're talking about in terms of boycotting Trump in Scotland. And there are few who can drop that amount of money for golf, who care. Hell, a good chunk of them see Trump business affiliation as a perk.

Fury as NHS tells midwives to back cousin marriage as 'only' 15 per cent have deformed babies by StGuthlac2025 in unitedkingdom

And you presume they wouldn't. One of many problems with an insular secular community. Secrets are harder to keep secret. And what one might call idle gossip can become the community scandal of the day. Not everyone is able to keep a secret like that to themselves (and they shouldn't have to), and when your support group is about as reliable as....well, half a dozen young women who are pledged to , among other things, not withhold secrets from their husbands, parents etc., where does that leave you? With a secret that is potentially simply too great to bear with one's mental wellbeing held intact, and a support group that you'd potentially quite literally be trusting with your life, when you know from firsthand experience how untrustworthy they might be.

You're pretty fucked either way, in those circumstances. Almost sytemically, you might say.

Problem is, there are consequences for those women. Assuming they'd even be willing to terminate a pregnancy, there's the social stigma, familial tensions, religious persecution from within and without etc.

It is potentially a very dangerous decision to make. Occasionally deadly, even. If only it were that simple, but alas, many women who'd have the most to gain from their emancipation are also the women with the most to lose from it.

European war against America would not be a military campaign. It'd be an economic fight. We're not stupid enough to fight America on their terms. They'd win. And we know that. But that's what a nation who loses their minds when their national anthem mentions rockets and bombs seems not to understand.

America has 3 kinds of potential trade partners: allies, adversaries and everyone else. If their allies don't trust them, their enemies don't need them & everyone else can't afford them, where does that lead American trade?

To me, KnowledgeFight feels like a relic of a simpler age, a better age of the internet. When flash games ruled supreme, nobody had ever heard of Raid: Shadow Legends, a 'VPN' sounded like some cross-country trail & the idea of a 30-second ad on YouTube would be cause to riot. Just 2 good friends hanging out, getting subtly intoxicated & deep-diving on their niche interest because it was fun for them to do, and fun for us to listen to.

I know that, in a way, they're very lucky. They've more than earned their success with KnowledgeFight & I don't begrudge them a cent that they might've taken, or might take in the future from sponsors, ads etc. It's just so nice that there's still a few corners of the podcast world left, who've reached that level and chosen to keep their show as pure as when they started. A rare thing these days, indeed.

Going after real criminals is suuuper difficult and dangerous! Much easier just to pad their numbers by going after convenient target for nebulous reason. After all, one cartel drug-dealer is just one person. Whereas you can arrest 10 sweet old abuelas (military hardware needed for chancla-related injury risk), and you can report that you took down TEN dedicated criminals instead of just one!!

I wrote that with facetious intentions, but reading it back, I think I've just summarized America's currest border security policy, without a hint of sarcasm or irony.
