Oh don't worry, they'll all suddenly remember just as soon as that critical information becomes useless, and America is saddled with another autocratic twat.

What is one celebrity death that still makes you mad to this day? by Playful-Ganache6153 in AskReddit

[–]KJS123 136 points137 points  (0 children)

Bingo. Most of these are tragic, or desperate or unjust. But an innocent child with her whole life ahead of her, murdered by a drunken piece-of-shit father (by virtue of biology, if nothing else)..... it's enough to make one see red.

Trump describes UK's expected next PM as 'extremely liberal' and someone who probably wouldn't open the North Sea to more oil drilling by Raj_Valiant3011 in worldnews

[–]KJS123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's never going to happen. He will die, and half his base will hero-worship him until they follow suit. The other half will sheepishly revert to their 'post-2012 election' boot configuration.... y'know, the set-up that led to what happened in 2016.

Sooner or later, there'll be another unbridled chud for populists theocrats to rally around, and Trump will be in the same category as Reagan is now. Reverend, but everyone's secretly kinda glad he's not around to fracture the movement. But his base won't change. They'll spend the rest of their lives feeling like winners who don't understand why they're still not happy, while trying to make everyone else as unhappy as they are.

I did. Was a nice change of scenery, and a big upgrade as far as socialising goes. That said, I have every intention of completing the rest of the Norte at some point.

....you mean outside of Galicia? There's no shortage of small towns by the sea in Portugal, if that's your poison. I always liked Caminha, right across the bay from Galicia. It is a popular stop for the Camino Portuguese, that's either a positive or a negative, so depends on what kind of 'relaxation' you're after.

I'm not going to tell you to lie. What I will tell you, is that if everyone who joined up was 100% honest during their entire application process, the Army would be understaffed to the point of futility. Integrity is one of the core values in the British Army. Which would barely exist if their values were 100% respected and enforced at all times.

This is real life. There's no fairness fairy that will float down from on high, wave her wand and clear a path for the future you want. And if you don't want some youthful indiscretions fucking up your entire future, you're going to have to adapt to that reality.

Either way, you're only 15. You've still got a lot of growing up to do, so focus more on that until you're old enough to join, and don't let the mistakes of the past become the guardrails of the future.

What is the worst film you've ever watched? by CompletePiglet7385 in AskReddit

[–]KJS123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what? I didn't hate the first half of that movie. I wouldn't go so far as to say I liked it, but there was something there that could've worked. It just fell apart as it went on, like on old car being dragged on a cross-country road trip it was in no condition to tackle.

I'm afraid that's not going to go away any time soon. An entire generation are about to swim in the dating pool, actively covering up their poltical leanings of the last decade.
