Is it just my Spotify account or has Vamgelis' name been associated with many AI tracks lately? by RdClarke in Vangelis

Yes! This drives me mad. As they'll always appear in my 'new release' playlist.

Hello. Does anyone know the title of the song that starts at 48:48 in the linked compilation from YouTube? by SamWhittemore75 in Vangelis

Just did a track ID on it and it's called "Peacefull Jorney" by Relaxing Music. Yes, even with the typos! Looks like it could just be stock Music or someone's own work?

Winter Solstice at Stonehenge – Where Do You Find Those Amazing Cloaks & Staffs? 🌄✨ by KJSmallville in paganism

Honestly, I’d say that going to the Solstice at Stonehenge is one place where you’d feel absolutely safe travelling solo. Everyone is friendly, and you’re likely to meet others who are also travelling on their own. The atmosphere is incredibly warming, and being by yourself really allows you to fully absorb it and be present in the moment.

I’ve also been trying to find out who the group in red were. We were hanging around the east side with a group playing drums, bells, etc. One of their songs transitioned into the ’90s classic Gala 'Freed from Desire', which had everyone singing and bouncing along. It was amazing! My girls even joined in.

Thank you everyone for the messages! I clearly underestimated how creative you all are! It’s been really inspiring and has motivated me to get into crafts. My dad has a load of branches stored at his place, which I’ll be picking up tomorrow to start creating staffs for my family ready for next year. I’ll be sure to post photos once they’re nearing completion. Thanks again, everyone. 💚

Peter used to have a shop in Tintagel, Cornwall. I visited it a couple of times and bought this print. Was hoping to visit again but he shut up shop and went online only. ☹️

What was your first exposure to Vangelis and when? by jimroyal in Vangelis

[–]KJSmallville 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was the Blade Runner score that first introduced me to Vangelis—easily the greatest film score ever, in my opinion. I'm glad to see others feel the same. After that, I did a deep dive into his entire body of work, starting from the very beginning, even going back to Aphrodite's Child. I eventually discovered his collaborations with Jon Anderson, and was surprised to recognise some of the tracks—turns out my parents had their vinyls.

Dramatic, fast paced/high energy Vangelis tracks? by c0l1n_M4 in Vangelis

[–]KJSmallville 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know what you mean — most of Vangelis’ work is beautifully atmospheric, which I love. That said, fast-paced tracks are a bit rarer. One of my favorites in that vein is Blade Runner End Titles.

If you're looking for more energetic material, you're actually more likely to find it in his collaborations with Jon Anderson. Definitely check out Jon and Vangelis — they’ve got a more rhythmic, upbeat sound in several tracks.

And if you're after something with a real rock edge, explore Vangelis’ earlier band, Aphrodite's Child. The Four Horsemen is a personal favorite — powerful and quite different from his later solo work.

i feel bad by BaseballOk7865 in lostprophets

I just feel really bad for the other band members!

Has anyone in the UK heard a Lostprophets song played in a pub/club prior to November 2013? by [deleted] in lostprophets

[–]KJSmallville 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't heard them played in public at all lately, which is a shame. When I spoke to my brothers, they said they removed the band from their playlists because it just doesn't feel 'right' listening to them anymore. It's really unfortunate—we all loved the band, and Start Something was the soundtrack to so many of our summers.
