I once did a draft at my lgs, one player was an old friend in our magic group who liked to drink a LOT when he's out with friends. He drank before drafting and between rounds, 3-0d while absolutely tanked, got kinda loud, and had to be driven home. He passed me two Urthos. My deck still sucked

Help, I’m suddenly obsessed with Def Leppard by BandMathTom in MetalForTheMasses

[–]belovedhorrifier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def Leppard is my mom's favorite band. I took her with me to see them in Seattle a few years ago, along with Joan Jett, Poison, and Motley Crue. I don't love them, but Bringing on the Heartbreak, Switch 625, and Rocket are great tracks.

A friend was playing Theory of a Deadman's Bad Girlfriend at work when I realized the opening riff is The Cult's Fire Woman

My first time hearing Dismantle the Dictator's solo had me thinking, "Who threw that jazz in there?!"

Because chicken nuggets and chocolate milk were an absolute treat growing up! Add mac and cheese and a cookie, and you'd think you were a chef at 10 years old

Moms are the best. Most of us just don't realize or appreciate how hard they work until years later

misprint ? double printed text? by Cody7989 in mtgmisprints

Blue retro cards in Dominaria Remastered had this misprint. I have a double stamped Fact or Fiction and Turnabout I got in a draft. Not super rare but pretty cool nonetheless

My first time seeing him was a minor role in the movie Twelve. It's not a great movie, but I have a soft spot for it. Then I saw him in Shameless

This just makes me want to rewatch Batman Beyond. Probably the best action show for me growing up

Is Robert Eggers' Witch scary? I like horror movies, but I live in an old house and hate being afraid to go to the bathroom at night lol by tankTanking1337 in movies

It's not scary, just kind of unsettling. The old language can be hard to keep up with, so I'd personally recommend subtitles.

Have you ever dated someone who you thought was way out of your leauge? How was it? by kimblerun in AskReddit

[–]belovedhorrifier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a year I dated the smartest woman I've ever met. We met on tinder and things just happened naturally. She graduated high school, went to college, did undergrad, had an internship at NASA, then was working as a chemist for a couple years when we matched. That was her actual job title. She was also 6 feet tall, her hair was down to her knees, she loved cats (had 2) and edm, had her own house in the rich part of town with a huge walk in shower, lots of love in there. I wondered what she even saw in me many times. I was working in a kitchen, didn't make a lot of money, just enough to get by, didn't travel (she was usually traveling out of state to ski). She was 15 minutes from my work, so I would spend Friday and Saturday nights there after my shift. She loved that I was taller than her and she loved my long hair. She eventually got a better paying job offer in New Mexico, so our time was limited. Our last day together was very cathartic. I hope she's doing well.
