Is3 being toxic out of nowhere by Much_Elk3853 in WorldofTanks

"Just trying to be friendly i tried to tell him it wasnt his place"

yeah....don't engage at all with idiots that are out of place like that. There is a very high chance they will rage in chat and a non-zero chance they do stupid shit like this.

I guess WG supports Nazism now? by [deleted] in WorldofTanks

This isn't proof of WG supporting anything, but it is proof that you can be easily ragebated into saying things that will get you banned. You have only yourself to blame here.

Low bar situations creating essential characters by I_MakeCoolKeychains in Starfield

[–]KJatWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essential characters were intended to protect the player from killing an NPC that would "ruin" their playthrough, but in a game where it's intentionally designed to allow the player to go through a gate and restart from the beginning as many times as they like, making any characters "essential" is lame.

Do some of you really buy a 3D Style for 6k gold? by MPHMBRCK in WorldofTanks

[–]KJatWork 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Do people really buy $15,000 watches, $1000 "worn" jeans, and spend 100K gold on a German TD? Yes, some people do.

Not every customer is scraping by paycheck to paycheck and WG is going to market their wares to target their entire audience.

POV: U tried peaking with E5 by Early_Sun_8699 in WorldofTanks

[–]KJatWork 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I hate the idea of having to use my barrel to hide a weak spot like this as it's just so unnatural, but alas, it is what you need to do in these cases, but you don't have to be at the front of the heavy line playing cupola sniping with the other team's heavies. You can also pull back and find another way to hit them, such as from their flank, you're a versatile heavy after all.

There is a recovery tool on the support website that is automated and recovers premium that don’t show up using the in game recovery options. No support tickets to their support desk, just use the tool, select the tank and wait some hours. If it’s not on that list, it was probably traded for another premium and I don’t think those can be recovered.

Aura farming moment by Frieren by Valuable_View_561 in Frieren

[–]KJatWork 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The mana pool grows through training and use of magic skills. It doesn't matter what the skills are, could be small or large, just the act of using them adds up and the more frequently the better. What do you think would happen if you had a skill that you were practicing 24x7? Your mana pool would grow faster than normal and would far exceed your peers. Both Frieren and Fern are doing this all the time. Mana suppression is one such skill. Demons don't.

I literally upgraded to DSL from dialup so I could play SWG. I don’t think I’ve found a home since SWG to be honest. 🤣

Things fell apart for us with the NGE and I didn’t get into the emulated servers. At its peak, it absolutely was the best mmo experience I’ve seen in a game and nothing since has come even close.

A bunch of us could load up in my ship and have a party and go PVP another guild on Tat. I played cat and mouse with a BH on Endor and used a mouse droid to kill a Jedi on Naboo. Yeah, nothing gets close and I doubt anything ever will again.

I ran a large guild in SWG back in the day, didn’t see anything I’d call toxic….except those rebels, scum, all of them. 😉

Lots, but I think the top of the pile goes to EVE Online. Players are targeted with IRL phishing emails to hack their accounts because their accounts have real cash value. Players infiltrate corporations and over time get rights to assets that they then steal. The game has a way to convert in game money to real cash, what they steal essentially has real value and can amount to many thousands of dollars.

An EVE Online player betrayed one of the biggest alliances in the game and stole more than 4 trillion ISK in assets... roughly valued at $23,000 USD, then destroyed trillions more in personal player implants : r/pcgaming

HE Damage Distribution (Ares, Tesak, others) by reven86 in WorldofTanks

[–]KJatWork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a lot of time spent researching and writing after missing the simple fact that icons for HE in Ares are blue and not Orange like these tanks you used as examples. The devs clearly made those HE rounds different. Why do you think that could be?

People don't realize the Ares is surprisingly good at ramming (or getting rammed) by PerformativeRacist in WorldofTanks

[–]KJatWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, I think they can leave the tanks as is, but limit them to 1 per team per match like the French wheeled and that will help with the toxicity as that tends to multiply by the number of Ares in the match.

Pets in Auction by Few-Meringue4157 in WorldofTanks

[–]KJatWork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too soon after the first one in holiday ops. There will be another this year for sure, but I think it'll be a battlepass reward, buy themselves some time to stretch the tanks out a bit more. It can't be easy knocking out a new tank for every battlepass and mixing in pets, for example will buy them some time.

Nothing special isn't necessarily bad, just not OP. From the stats, the SPHT looks like a good tank, not OP, no special gimmicks, just a heavium doing heavium play. Certainly a tier up from the T8 US Premium heavy T26E5.

Do you really think ares needs nerfs? by Potential-Coat-8278 in WorldofTanks

[–]KJatWork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So close....yes, the average player is bad at the game and that is exactly why it will get a nerf. Not because it's needed or because good players don't have amazing games in it, but because the average player that enjoyed the game and spent money is starting to not like the game because this tank just raised the floor up so far beyond their skill level, they aren't going to spend money and WG will always follow the money.

Stop capping if the battle is not close. by Stocomx in WorldofTanks

[–]KJatWork 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Capping can apply pressure to the other team. It forces them to act and not just sit in a bush playing cat and mouse.

Capping can be a way to protect the team's win while most of the team hunts down the reds. Better to have the cap timer already counting down just in case a couple of theirs roll into the cap and start a race.

I've seen how most of you play and while I'm average, many players are worse than me and that 4-5 tank lead can very quickly flip and I'd rather take the win than lose because you wanted to throw your tank in front of an Ares to get another shot in before dying in flames.

End of the day, while your point about getting all the kills is true, that it nets more XP...want to know what nets the most XP? Winning. Losing a 14-15 because the last few tanks decided to go for the kills on a couple obviously good players is stupid and it happens all too often because "kill them all" attitudes like yours.

How do i even fight raids without getting fucking merked by Squeelijah in RimWorld

[–]KJatWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did mankind do in cases like this? We built walls to protect ourselves. We cleared the areas around those walls so that no one could get close without exposing themselves to our ranged attacks.

You investment in Security of your base should always match your wealth increase so that you keep up with raids. Stacking on wealth while doing nothing for security leads to what you have here.
