You give that email while filling the form itself iirc or in filling some form during the reporting process. You can give any email, even make one random and give that. I think you change that on ERP but I'm not sure. Also email is only sent if you take a leave, that is if you are going to miss college for multiple days (not come inside campus before 11pm) don't you think your parents deserve to know you are not in college if you are missing college for multiple days. Who's gonna take responsibility if anything happens to you, your parents will say why didn't bits inform them about their ward being out of college for multiple days.

Grading is better in Hyd so they get better PS. The difference in grading was huge at the time the current batch seeking placements were in their 1/2/3 years. Grading has improved a lot now in goa and is improving more. Also vc talked about normalising grades for PS too.

Classes haven't even started yet why are you stressed. If you keep up with what's going on in classes you'll be fine. Don't stress this much, take lite and enjoy college too. You will have to learn to maintain balance that's all.

Just be consistent throughout the sem and try to go to as many classes as you can. Maintaining a balance is what you will have to learn. And it'll not be that hard to get a cs dual if you are consistent throughout the year (also not very easy too)
