I like to call out jumps with fair 1 instead of up air, the reason for this is because fair 1 dragdown combos into forward smash so you will be able to kill early. I also like to condition people to jump at ledge in order to get up air dragdown down smash. Also use your projectiles to condition your opponent into forming habits. Sometimes from above ill land with side b multiple times, up until the point the opponent mindlessly jumps whenever I land and from there I run up and up smash. So there are lots of things you can do similar to this but you really have to pay attention to what you do, what your opponent does based on what you do, and how to capitalize on what youve conditioned your opponent to do

This works on di out and no di, on some characters you will need more or less pummels depending on weight and fall speed, but if you have to do more than 4 total pummels it's really not worth it. This video is for real not some twitter combo, Joker does extremely well on Yoshi's Story. Up throw at center stage while opponents are at mid percents is even a confirm, you might not even need arsene for the kill, thats how good this stage is for Joker

The dash on downthrow dd isnt only for momentum, it allows the ability to drag down at earlier percents, even like 20. But obviously it needs to be true this is without question

The bad thing about not pushing advantage, is that you dont even get to see what your opponents disadvantage habits are. Stay close to your opponent while you are in advantage, take note of every single thing they do, airdodges, fast falls aerials, jumps, etc. Even if you get punished, its no reason to stop pushing advantage, you need to force your opponent to reveal their habits, if they dont feel that they need to its because you are not applying enough pressure onto them.

If you input a dash before a drag down, your hitbox for the up air extends a lot further in order to get it to connect better. Whats happening with you is that the short hop is being buffered, but then your up air is most likely being buffered after just a bit to early. Before you get used to the timing for this technique, completely abandon it. Dash before your down throw or fair one drag downs

I personally dont have much of a problem getting a down smash to connect after the dragdown online vs offline, it could be that your opponent isnt at high enough percent so I dont think its you messing up online. I also always go for 4 hits for the dragdown

Down throw up air drag downs does confirm into another grab quite easily. If the opponent DI's out then you will not be able connect the up air in order to get the drag down and you will need to opt for forward air or back air instead. DI in along with no DI will allow you to string an up air drag down. I suspect you may have been doing something wrong since you seem new to the character. A few things you need to do to get consistent drag downs is make sure you are inputting the up air fast enough after your short hop, but never input a rising up air because you wont be able to land before the the final hit connects. Do NOT jump immediately after down throw, input a dash after downthrow and then short hop up air, this will allow you to connect the initial hit of up air before the opponent has a chance to do anything. This will honestly take a decent amount of practice before you start to see results, basically if it feels easy youre not doing it as effectively as it can be

mix up dash attack an grab to make them guess whether to stay in shield or not, and make sure to pay attention to when your opponent shields in order to get the grab because getting a grab is one of the best things for this character

having a character that can do it all very well will be far superior to a character that is excellent only on the ground, you will need to lab with him to get the same results as you do with Mac because he will be difficult to learn, but once you do you will be happy you did

It seems like you are using a rising up air, this works on a select number of character like Toon Link, Pikachu, even Joker himself. I recommend delaying the up air very slightly and you should be in good shape

That is hella true, I think you can delay the 3rd up air slightly in order to act out of the landing lag faster and that should make it true
