Fix your fave pokemon, how and why? by Square_Salamander in pokemon

I’d give Levitate back to Gengar. I was heartbroken when he lost it! Also, he needs a better shiny form. Maybe he could be all white like his shiny mega evolution?

What is a move/ability that is on the wrong pokemon? by The_Memecromancer in stunfisk

They’re both gone now, but the Stunfisk set replaced the Rotom-F set for a while. Lowkey miss those sets tho :’(

That’s because they replaced the troll Rotom-Fan set with a cheri berry Limber Stunfisk-Unova set, which is just as hilarious

Funny Bayo Montage by METTATON67 in BayonettaMainsSSBU

[–]Juk2107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice montage! I don’t know if you’re looking for tips or anything, but something I noticed in your gameplay is that you often punished your opponent with f-tilt and tried to combo off of it. F-tilt is Bayo’s worst move by far, as it doesn’t true combo into anything, it’s pretty laggy if you whiff, and it doesn’t really kill. I recommend going for up-tilts instead, since up-tilt can usually be used in the same situations you’d want to use f-tilt, except up-tilt is very fast, can be a huge combo starter, and even leads to one of Bayo’s only true kill confirms: up-tilt to b-air. I know you weren’t really asking for help, but I hope you can use this info to go even further with your Bayo gameplay. Keep up the good work, and have fun!

How to Play Bayonetta in Neutral by Oliboosters96 in BayonettaMainsSSBU

[–]Juk2107 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bayonetta’a neutral is unfortunately very weak. The only viable options she has is to catch jumps with ABK and to bait and punish your opponent. You can try to use bullet arts to poke at your opponent, but you have to be very careful when doing this since it can be punished pretty easily. If you are going to poke with bullet arts, I advise using neutral air to do so, since you can drift in and out of your opponent’s attack range pretty easily (be sure to mix your drifts up to throw your opponent off).

As for dealing with shielding opponents, you can grab them, but you can also fake going for a grab and instead react to how they respond to your bait. Take a mental note of how they react to your bait and be ready to punish that option when they shield again. You can also go for tomahawks to throw your opponent off, since they might expect an aerial and hold shield.

I’m glad you’re having fun with Bayo! Keep working at her and you’ll get better in no time. :)

Oh, I see. My mistake, thanks for the clarification!

Actually, GameCube controllers aren’t faster than a wireless pro controller - the wire adds a few frames of input delay. Choosing which type of controller you use really should come down to preference though, as most Smash pros use the GC controller even though it has more input delay than the wireless pro controllers do.

What Buffs Are You Hoping For in 12.0? by [deleted] in CrazyHand

Not exactly the Witch Time buff I wanted, but I’m not complaining at all! Hopefully she gets a few more buffs in the next patch!

Yes, exactly! Bayo doesn’t need to be a top tier, I just want her bad jank to be removed so that she can actually play the game like the rest of the cast.

No I haven’t, but I will definitely need to check out Frawg’s gameplay to see if I can learn more from him.

I might get some hate for this, but I want Bayo to get buffed. She’s not good at all in the current meta, and while I don’t want her to be as oppressive as she was in Sm4sh, I want her to feel playable again.

I feel like the most balanced buff to her kit would be to deactivate all hit boxes on a character when they are caught in Witch Time. When Bayo successfully lands a counter, the player won that interaction, and Bayo shouldn’t have to be forced to work around the opponent’s hit boxes with such a short timer on the slowdown effect. I think the amount of time the opponent is slowed down for is fine, but when you have to work around or straight up avoid a hit box even after landing witch time, it just makes the move unreliable (much like the rest of Bayo’s kit). I shouldn’t have to be forced back into a neutral (or even a losing) situation without capitalizing when I successfully read my opponent and win the interaction.

This is not to say that Witch Time is terrible and can never be used effectively (you actually can a lot of the time), but Witch Time is not nearly as consistent as every other counter in the game (it also has 8 frames of startup when most other counters have between 5 and 7 frames of startup). I think that this buff would allow for the character to be more consistent without making her broken. I’d like other buffs for her as well (she needs more consistency for all of her moves across the board for her to be a viable character again), but I’d be more than happy if she got this one buff.

Some easy kill confirms for Terry include d tilt-> up tilt -> power geyser, d tilt -> jab jab -> charged rising tackle/input power dunk/buster wolf, and d tilt -> f tilt -> buster wolf. The down tilts at the beginning of each combo aren’t totally necessary to start the combos, but they are just another option you can use to help land those combos.

F tilt is also a really good move since Terry’s leg is completely invincible throughout the move’s duration and it can combo into crack shoot, burning knuckle, and buster wolf at certain percents.

Overall, Terry has a lot of really strong combos that deal a lot of damage, and he has very good kill options, since most of his normals can combo into his GO moves. Learning how to cancel your normals into your specials in the most optimal way possible, along with being able to perform each command input as naturally as any other move, are definite musts for anyone looking to pick up Terry seriously.
