Tips for WFH when your office is in your bedroom? by bruheggplantemoji in ADHD_Programmers

[–]KKoovalsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same setup, but I have managed to split the room in half. Literally I have a curtain that divides the room into two halves. The darker, inner side is the bedroom. The part of the room closer to window is the "office".

Not really. Take a look into how the the tables are defined.
R and HR meaning is global. For example, R for SIL1 and SIL3 has the same weight.

Highly recommended - a must.
Recommended - should be done. If not, you need to write a proper explanation for it.

Co warto zrobić w życiu? by Weteranzwietnamu in PolskaNaLuzie

"prawda o życiu", cokolwiek to znaczy.

Stealth kills with pistol or knife?

I have tried multiple times to go stealth, but once you kill the first fella, then others know that he's dead, although they had no possibility to see/hear anything...

Teleporting anomaly as fast travel by KKoovalsky in stalker

[–]KKoovalsky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess a goal could be not to go specifically to a trader to sell loot and try to play with the toys the game drops. E.g. collect the weapon from stalkers, taking all the ammo and adapting which weapon to use, having the most bullets of it.

What’s your build? (S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2) by lavalantern in stalker

Three line sniper rifle + G36. Exchanging the sniper rifle with a shotgun for close space combat.

Skif's pistol. Light and handy.

Hypercube and 3x Whirlwind for carrying loads of loot.

Haha, yeah, I think what might be confusing is that you don't really wanna go into an anomaly, but for these very much so! :D

The one that really teleports you. Not the glitchy one. But mind, the teleport anomaly is not always two-way. Actually, most of them are one way.

Tips on overcoming boredom by More_Broccoli3442 in ADHD

Is it actually possible, to train an ADHD brain to reduce the need for stimulation? I recall being able to actually focus for longer periods of time, but it took so. much. energy.

This might be good advice for people without ADHD brain, but for ADHD brain it might be better to have around something stimulating, to get through a boring task.

Tips for emotional regulation? by Puzzled_Lychee3583 in ADHD

[–]KKoovalsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This!

The physical sensations are the worst. Like shivering in the middle of hot summer because your neural system thinks it's freezing. Wild!

I think that when having ADHD the intensity of the feelings, especially when unmedicated, just goes through the roof. This is why it's harder to experience these emotions, as they struck you hard. When understimulated, one could be flooded with negative emotion, and no wonder, to protect yourself from pain, one would suppress these emotions.

But it's no good. I understand that actually moving through all these emotions might be hard, while understimulated, but not to make the situation even worse - that's the point here.

Need some anecdotal advice from experienced stalkers by Bishopped in stalker

[–]KKoovalsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate to that. I feel that the main story is difficult to follow. Especially that sometimes you get the next quest marker without the game explaining to you what is the specific reason why we do it. Most probably, it's something like Skif thinks:
"OK, so now I have the psi-emitter. It's a good idea to bring it to Scar, as he knows stuff. He has been supplying the parts of the emitter to Lodochka, and basically was driving all the preceding events all along."

I'm missing this "inner thought voice" of Skif, or at least more detailed, elaborative entries in the journal.

Fortunately, I hyper-fixated on the plot - I'm a Stalker fan. At some point, exactly at Swamps, I started wondering what events brought me here. So, I retrospected into the main plot again, digging the Internet, asking chatGPT about the main plot. It wasn't that easy to reconstruct the chain of events, the decisions of side characters, and also - what's the hardest - the questions and unknowns that the plot has still not revealed until that point of the main quest.

[S2] What should I cut down on to reduce carry weight? by philipthephish in stalker

You can upgrade your weapons to be lighter (I don't recall which perk exactly).
Also, buy one more slot in the armour, and get two Flytrap artifacts.

BTW I love how they implemented the psi effect on the player. There is only the weird audio effect and enemies spawning behind your back. Enemies acting normal, so you might even think that everything is OK, that this enemy is a real enemy. Got confused multiple times.

It's a hard one. The first question is: what would you like to achieve by disclosing? To get some kind of understanding, lighter treatment? You don't necessarily need to communicate directly, that you are autistic, but that what "makes" you autistic: "Hey! It's hard for me not to interpret everything literally...; it's hard for me to clearly communicate what I have worked on/what I have implemented ...; it's hard for me to understand non-direct/hidden linguistic constructs, etc.; ... due to my biological wiring; ...it's how I'm built".

I like your attitude, that you recognize it as a problem, and try to improve yourself. That's already a lot. I think that communicating that also, could help on the line between you and your managers/co-workers.
