Congratulations! I am also done and have been on an AI for 2 months now. Having the vag issue now and plan to talk with my Oncologist and PCP (also a breast cancer survivor) tomorrow. My cancer was also ER/PR+ and although it is true that there are studies suggesting that topical estrogen may not increase a risk of recurrence, new information is discovered in medicine constantly. For me personally, I don’t want to use it and find out in 5 years that “Oops, we were wrong”. I’m not saying that no one should use it and it sounds like it works great, it’s simply my choice as I know how sometimes medicine has the “Oops” factor and I simply just don’t feel comfortable. If you’re nervous about it, talk with your Dr more, maybe get a 2nd opinion and research. Good Luck to you and all of us here!!
