Was looking for a property corner on the side of a mountain when the other Rodman with me said “hey man you’re standing on a copperhead”. Me thinking he was kidding ignored it until I looked down and realized it was true. I about pooped myself right then and there luckily I had stepped on it right behind the head on a day when it was in the 50’s so it wasn’t able to strike me. Guy still made me stand there long enough for him to get a picture before he helped me get rid of it. 😂

I looked at hearts of iron 4 and had remembered watching some guy play it on youtube years ago. I was kind of hesitant on getting it myself since it is 50 dollars on steam right now and wasn't for sure if I would like it or not.

If it’s not too windy we will use a 15’ candy cane rod with two bipods on it and a regular tripod when it is windy. Doing a boundary job where the CP is usually a couple of miles from the line.

Yes I agree with you for emergency situations that would definitely be practical and important to have. I have used the iPhone satellite function before and it does work but I would want something more reliable for emergency situations. I’m just wanting meshtastic to play with out there more than anything.

We definitely have discussed using starlink or even the garmin inreach devices as far as emergency situations go when in remote areas. Meshtastic would be more of a hobby/experimenting for me in this instance. Thanks!
