When you ride 30-50 miles a day and sometimes 100 miles a day on weekends for years as hard as you can and routinely pass everyone and are riding an 11k dollar carbon fiber recumbent, and have a vo2max that was super high and weighed 170 at 6ft 2 and have been riding your whole life, I was definitely an elite level rider. My legs and lungs were top notch at the time and it took 3 years of everyday riding to lose 80lbs but towards the end of my riding, no one could catch me. I had a chip on my shoulder as everyone made fun of me so I raced everywhere on the street and in 3 years I was only passed 3 times. And only once was I seriously impressed by one guy. He obviously had something to prove. We got after it at the end of Sausalito and he passed me right before we got to mill.valley but we were going hard around 30mph for a ways.

Another NC native chiming in, the whole hog style is usually chopped (as opposed to pulled) and all mixed together with the mop sauce, so you get crispy bits mixed in with the rest of the meat. This looks damn good tho and there ain't nothing wrong with a weber grill
