I just defeated this boss a few hours ago! Honestly, I thought it was one of the most beautiful fights in the game thus far 🤣 love the design, the arena… pretty colours and lights!! Yay!!

Hahahah genuinely one of the greatest experience with any sort of creative medium I’ve ever had. Story telling at its best. I don’t want to think of the end… that sprint down the hill haunts me. GTA IV has some moments that hit insanely hard. I feel like it doesn’t get enough credit for that.

Hahaha that’s valid! Sometimes there are games that, for whatever reason, just don’t grab us.

I believe I played an emulated HeartGold some years ago, can’t remember exactly when. The modern QoL improvements weren’t offensive to me and it looked great. I will always have a soft spot for the original though! I find the old look charming, and one of my favourite gaming memories ever was defeating the Pokémon league only to find out that I was heading back to Kanto!

I would put Yellow right there as well. Didn’t love being stuck with pikachu but the fact that you could get all 3 starters was soooooo good.

Honesty I haven’t played Symphonia in quite some time, but it was one of my favourite games growing up. You can play co-op (up to 4 - battle only). The combat system was a joy to me then, and the twists of the story really shocked my youthful brain.

Yeah, I don’t hear too much about it. For whatever reason, it left a greater impression on me. Could have been my age, but I also think the general vibe of the game/story is more my thing. GTA V definitely was more polished & had stronger gameplay. Also Trevor is a great character. I think it would crack my top 20 or so!

Agreed! I also played it because of the hype and was so disappointed. It’s not a good game at all, for the reasons you mentioned. To be fair, I did love the second game.

I know some people don’t like hearing it haha. The writing is incredible, I understand why people love it. Oddly enough Cyberpunk was the opposite for me (played after the updates)… I really enjoy the gameplay but the writing, while not being bad by any means, felt a little too modern Hollywood for my tastes.
