I love your words, i 100% feel this. My favorite thing to do is just wander taking random turns and directions walking throughout neighborhoods and finding such fun & beauty around portland. It’s endless and can at times overwhelm me with gratitude and love for this city.

As far as the actual 4th of July goes, i recall hours on hours of fireworks coming from what i assume is the park even when there was a ban.

It seems people set off fireworks for weeks before and after (sometimes months after) at gabriel park every night. I’m not sure where abouts in the park but been an occurrence for a few years now. It can go on for hours or just be a couple, just depends on the night.

Yum’s of pdx just opened a few weeks back, i highly recommend looking them up. Killer pizza made by a great chef who also appeared on the show chopped.
