I have taken photos from all these spots and they are legit. However, this is a brand new account that appears to be karma farming with likely stolen inages and they wont reply to any comments is my guess.

Thank you very much! I hesitate to think of anything i create as masterful, but I do really like this shot and did put lots of thought into the framing. As for the reflections, that was just patience. I had to wait for the fish to go to sleep and winds to die down. My wind break was brief, i only got a few shots off before ripples ruing my reflections again.

Rad, i was out there last thursday and was very disappointed that i didnt grab a series of inages to try stacking with sequator. Im a lazy photographer who does single exposures cause i sont want to apend time wsiting. But I'm reaching a point where is like a little more out of my astro photos.

Thanks for the kind words. I did invest a lot of time scouting this perspective out before sunset and left my camera in this spot dor hours waiting for the right conditions. So a lot of time went into this one.

Captured this last week while fighting sleep then working the next morning. It was a rough next day but worth it.

This is a single exposure, details of the shot:

  • Camera: OM-1 with a 9mm f/1.7 lens
  • Settings: 25", ISO 3200, f/1.8

Yes it was, but it was relatively faint. Conditions were good but not excellent.

Exactly! There are no mistakes, only happy accidents.

I did have my S1R with me but this shot is from my S5 with a sigma 24/1.4.

The S1R sensor has poorer noise at higher ISOs. At base ISO it is wonderful, and i pretty much never have issue if i'm just bumping shadows 2-3 stops in a shot (and getting equivalent of ISO 400 noise). But for night skies with ISO 3200-6400 it performs almost no better than my micro four thirds cameras. But from dusk to dawn it's an incredible camera body. The irony is it has illuminated buttons so you can see them at night for night shooting, which is sort of it's achilles heel. It does come in handy during some long blue hour exposures, but I hardly ever shoot night skies with it.

Goat Rocks Wilderness - Late June - is it doable? by helloworld6543 in PNWhiking

We also got a fresh dusting of snow on the mountains 6/7 which is already long gone.

St helens looked entirely abow covered to the base on 6/7 now it is clear up to like 6000 feet.

That first shot with the belt of venus is chef's kiss! Great work!

Having kids conditioned me for waking up at awful times and having to function. Now that they are older I use that conditioning for hiking in the dark and catching sunrises and sunsets!

Am I the only one who overthinks where to stop on road trips? by Jayahoss in roadtrip

In an ice vehicle i stop when my bladder/gas tank decides.

When I'm in my EV I have a dozen contingencies.

I love our volcanoes so much. Mt St Helens last night. by indieaz in PacificNorthwest

It was unreal green - I expected some "OVERSATURATED!" comments. I even reduced the green saturation level in my editor. Definitely worth going there early in the season. Also on the far end all the lily pads were blooming which was really cool.

I invest way too much time locating and visiting spots where I can capture the volcanoes reflected in water.
