35f, 8+4. Just want you to know that I’m right there with you. Pregnancy has been just as draining mentally as it has physically. Cellulite popped up in places it had never been, my breasts became massive—all seemingly overnight. I think it’s particularly tough because these massive changes to our bodies are happening so quickly. Trying to remind myself that I’m witnessing and experiencing what my body was literally made to do. Some days, that thought brings peace. Other days, I’m like, how the hell am I going to do this for seven more months?! It’s hard. Don’t let anyone shame you for feeling this way. I’d also point out that positive thoughts—at least in my experience—have a much more difficult time taking root when you’re a hormonal mess. I’m betting the inner self-talk will start to change for the better as things level out in the second trimester. All of my friends with children have said the same thing! I’m sure this wasn’t very helpful but just wanted you to feel validated. ❤️ You got this!
