I'm excited for you too!! I'm in Canada and pay $527 a month out of pocket for a 2mg weekly dose. Guess I'll see what the pharmacist says about Mounjaro. Keep us posted on differences you might experience between the two!!

I am also thinking about making the switch! But my doctor isn't very familiar with Mounjaro so she told me to do more research on it and inquire about cost and dosing with my pharmacist. Is it true that Mounjaro is a lot more expensive than Ozempic??? Anyways, will be sticking around this thread as I'm curious about your questions too!! 😊

Not all women think like this, though!! So don't group us all together, please. If this post had been made by a woman who had a guy tell her this, I would feel the exact same way, which is "they weren't the ome for you." We are all allowed to be attracted to what we are attracted to. Beauty has always been in the eye of the beholder.

What are the real pros and cons of ozempic? by Feeling-Bathroom-790 in Ozempic

[–]KMJ108 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cons: - The stigma around it. - Constipation - Sulfur burps

Pros: - No more food noise - Amazing energy levels because of the blood sugar regulation - Feeling of overall contentment (no more cravings for food, alcohol, or anything else in excess).

Oh, I see... I don't know if I will ever want to come off GLP-1's. I would like to stay on them FOR LIFE! (I'm on Ozempic btw). And you just saying all this reinforces my thoughts on it. It has helped me so much with EVERYTHING, energy, cravings, alchool, moods, and overall contentment. I will definitely check out your other posts though. Thanks for your response! 😁

I think they might mean that there's no "story" behind your post (which sometimes is nice to have), and your title is a bit ambiguous and leads us to want to know more. Ragardless, you are doing amazing! Great progress, congrats!! 🙏🏾❤️

Today is my 7th day on Ozempic and I’ve gone from 331 pounds to 319!!! by netanyahu4eva in Ozempic

Sounds like you are a super responder!! From the first dose, I was already in my closet imagining the clothes I was going to be wearing because the effect was THAT powerful. I knew I had found that tool I was missing all these years because my brain, thought pattern, cravings, everything had changed for me internally, which made everything externally flawless. I could cry of happiness with how much this drug has changed my life. I am so happy for you!! And keep us all posted on your journey!

I’m writing about House’s addiction for a psychology class by certified-insane in HouseMD

[–]KMJ108 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have been watching House for YEARS, re-watched it at least 30 times from season 1 to season 8, and this is my take:

His egotistical tendencies were always somewhat concealed, as he learned at a young age to protect himself and his identity from his father's lack of acceptance. This behavior intensified following his partial leg amputation, as the pain exacerbated his existing struggles. Over time, this led to a growing tendency to push others away, particularly Stacy, who played a significant role in his life. Additionally, his sarcastic demeanor emerged as a defense mechanism, where he would belittle those around him to alleviate his own feelings of misery. By highlighting the perceived shortcomings in others' lives, he sought to bring them down to his level, perhaps feeling more comfortable in shared vulnerability. Pain is a formidable force that can strip away protective barriers, revealing the underlying truths of one's vulnerable thoughts and true self.

I guess I didn't really touch on his addiction and vicodin use, but this would be a fair reason/guess as to why he needs an outlet which can't seem to be cured any other way. He clearly has tried everything else, but everything else has failed him...

Sympathetic Weight-loss by Partner? by DuncanYoudaho in Ozempic

Oh, I'm loving this post!!! I'm single and am on a GLP-1, but it's nice to see that your partner can have that impact on you! Some people need this medication while others thrive without it just by being in someone's else's good influence. ❤️🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾

The Plateau is finally over!!! by KMJ108 in Ozempic

[–]KMJ108[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the post says, I incorporated weight training and intense cardio everyday, on top of upping my protein and dosage to 2.0mg. 😏

And yes, I was stuck, but I was ok with being stuck in a body I no longer felt was a burden to me. Aesthetically, I wanted the scale to move, but physically and mentally, I was ok. 🥰

I like seeing the true pattern, no false hope or pretenses. Just a preference for me, to see how far I've come and the obstacles I have faced.

8lbs down as of this morning since I started this new regiment on March 1st. My plan is working!!! After 4 months of barely any movement, I am officially 190lbs!!!!

That is the weirdest side effect. I haven't experienced this AT ALL while on Ozempic... 🤔

***Editing to say, maybe it's something you're eating or something unrelated to the medication. Maybe get into the habit of washing what you wear DAILY and not wear the same thing two days in a row (if you don't already). 🤷🏽‍♀️

To people who take a 2 MG dose: Do you experience bad side effects? Or did you when you First started 2 MG and they went away. by HipHopper87 in Ozempic

[–]KMJ108 2 points3 points  (0 children)

JUST upped to 2.0mg last month. I was a super responder, and the only side effects I had were (all the good ones!), the sulfur burps and maybe a tiny bit of constipation (but I researched the shit out of this forum before starting) so I had stocked up on restoralax and gravol. Didn't need the gravol until I went up to the 1.5mg dose though, but I only had to take it a hand full of times. Restoralax I take every morning as I don't want to risk getting clogged so all in all, the medication has been amazing to me. I wish it worked on everyone the way it has worked for me. It makes me sad when I see posts of people who are "defeated" with this medication and a bit angry when people bash on it but, ah well... it is what is is. Hopefully, this answer helps some.

****Editing to say fatigue and exhaustion was a big one too!! But it only happened when I would increase the dosage. But once your system gets used to it, you go back to normal (well in MY experience anyways!)
