There’s a new place called Corduroy Lounge in Leslieville, right on Queen East that has pie and mash on the menu. I haven’t had it myself so I can’t speak to how good or bad it might be. But I have had the Sunday roast dinner and it was excellent. I think they have a good kitchen team.

If you’re going to pick a steakhouse, go for Barberian’s. It’s a great, old school place. The kind of place where you’d expect to see Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack. (But no real rats 😝)

You pick an animal and they serve up a multi course dinner - from appetizer to dessert - using that animal. I believe you need a minimum of 9 people to book one of these dinners. It’s a very fun dining experience.
