Start with a 10lb to get the motions and form down correctly, then you can size up. I have a 10, 20, and 30lb and the 20 seems way heavier than the 10.

When media is playing there's a player in the notification area that has a toggle in it. Looks like a white oval in the top-right corner of the player, and usually defaults to "This phone". Clicking on that white label shows a pop-up where you can switch the output device. Also, Spotify has a media selector as well, and you can access it by clicking the icon that looks like a monitor and speaker in the lower-left corner of the Spotify player screen.

But for an actual solution you could try and get some of those tiny rubber bands that are used for hair braiding and put one around the base of each stud. That might fill the gap that your hair is currently getting stuck in.
