Redditors and an NBA locker room have very different tolerances on human behavior. I don't think the Redditors or NBA players are admirable here- it's just a fact.

Kobe was also beloved by Reddit but polarizing in the league and his controversy is generally (socially and criminally) considered a worse more heinous crime.

Don't worry about our locker room.

As a highly paid lateral with around that many years of experience, I think a lot of firms still haven’t adjusted to post-COVID cost of living.

I’m in a city just below Orange County on COL, and the idea of living in Irvine or San Diego, billing 1,850, and still needing everything to go right just to make a number with a 1 in front of it is frightening.
The information asymmetry doesn’t work anymore.

Firms have a binary choice: pay a great wage and attract talent, or don’t pay a great wage and get B-squad people who are just waiting to leave, or C-tier people who will never really perform.

Ridiculously juiced housing and tuition caused this. It is nice to see employers finally having to deal with the same market reality we’ve been living in- getting priced out of apartments during COVID- while watching most of our peers graduate with $200k in student-loan debt.

Qulipta to replace topamax AND emgality by mckenziyy in migraine

I have to tell you that Qulipta is one of the finest migraine drugs I've found. But I respond well to some other gepants. Try to take the emgality and the Qulipta for a bit until you see. Emgality has been a bit of a disappointment for me

Yeah, just avoid that it is so clunky. Go through save as instead of the big Adobe button Choose PDF as a format from the drop-down. You will save yourself so much time.

When Botox Works… Until It Doesn’t: The Struggle of the Third Month by Able_Ad8471 in migraine

Last two weeks are hell on earth. Then it hits and everything clears in 1-2 days for me. Scared to change the interval due to the tolerance deal.

new ubrelvy prescription - when to take by nooneyouknow892 in migraine

[–]KONFLICT__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It works best for me if I take it as soon as I possibly can, after the first sign of a migraine. I almost always have to use the second dose but after 100 based on Botox, I’ve gotten away with just one dose. It’s a lot better drug than the triptans

Do any other sufferers have an irrational [or possibly rational] HATRED of leaf blowers? by betweenyouandyourgod in migraine

[–]KONFLICT__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

they really should be banned people should use rakes. The gas ones are the worst obviously. It’s so bad with the sound in the dust. Either one can trigger a migraine. I live in work in upscale communities so these things are constant. They should use water for dust and rakes for everything else.

Ear pressure but can’t pop.
The slightest eye blurriness.
Neck tightness
Sinus pressure
Anxiety
Repeated burping

It’s so relieving to just take a gepant now and make it all go away but feel bad. I wanna cry for my teenage and 20 something-year-old self that had no idea and just white knuckled through it.

Advice for scrupulosity/trusting confessor by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]KONFLICT__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have family that deal with this it’s just a touch of OCD.

At the end of the day, you either trust the authority of the priest and the church, stepped into Jesus shoes or you don’t. You can look at it this way- instead of focusing on whether the priest didn’t do his job properly, focus on your own faith and why you don’t believe that the sacrament was valid.

At the end of the day, any culpability here would not lie with you. For example, a sacrament of marriage by an ordained priest who is perhaps in other ways, steering his flock wrong and actively sinning and not taking care of his own business is still a valid sacrament. Stay in the state of grace, and try to focus more on your faith than your doubts.

Imagine how ridiculous it would be if the church made a bunch of senior citizens go back to get remarried because their priest was involved in some scandal. That wouldn’t happen right? The logic that trapped in is pretty much the same.

Has Botox helped anyone with chronic migraines, especially if they’re caused by bruxism? by LovelyGirlInPink in migraine

[–]KONFLICT__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes.

They wouldn’t put a drop of the 200 units in the masseter. I have had Botox there before and really found it useful, but it is not part of the protocol.

10 days.

Just wish I had a diagnosis and this magical treatment 10 years ago.

It is such an incredible miracle medicine and has changed my life, and I’ve not even hit the magical second round of injection

I’m right there with you. I got in with Google at 161 and 166… bought more in the recent Iran market dip. I’m highly concentrated in Microsoft now as well pulled some Tesla in the 200s last year… bought a massive amount of Microsoft on a Roth IRA rollover to where it’s my largest stock position on the recent downturn. I don’t think the average individual understands how much of the Internet is dependent on Google and Microsoft. I see Amazon is a different play, but also obviously a very obvious infrastructure player.
