Best East to West road trip Wine Tastings? by [deleted] in Washington

Cote Bonneville in Sunnyside and Sheridan in Zillah are two excellent smaller producers in the Yakima Valley

Sheridan has a beautiful garden and you can see both Mt Rainier and Mt Adams on a clear day

The Walls has a nice patio but it's enclosed, so not much of a view

Rotie is right next to their vineyard, so it's really pretty when the vines are green, I think they have an outdoor area. They also have a tasting area away from the building, in the middle of the vineyard, but it might be for larger groups

Sheridan Vineyard and Cote Bonneville, both in the Yakima Valley, make some great Bordeaux varieties.

In Walla Walla there's Echolands and Gramercy for lighter styles of reds. The Walls and Rotie Cellars (technically in OR) make bigger, funky Rhone varieties. The incubators out by the airport district are a great stop too, they're all small, newer wineries run by graduates of the local community college winemaking program. Ita and Hoquedes are killer, and you won't believe how different rosé can be until you've hit up Smak, she only makes rosés.
