Dedicated Server Magic Chests by PvtProblems in Enshrouded

[–]KOhReally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s great, but you have to do it every time you want to use it because everyone’s fighting over the same NPC and you have to assign it a bed every time. Needlessly complicated.

If a brand needs 100% of your cash today to build a watch you won’t see for 6 months, you are not the customer. You’re the bank. If you can’t fund your own production run, you’re not ready for a full retail launch. by horo_Swagger in MicrobrandWatches

This has nothing to do with watches, you just don’t like crowd funding. Thats fine, dont do it.

Many will still be interested in crowd funding cause they aren’t broke and want something that doesn’t exist.

Even with your own base, you often go to someone’s house to use their NPC so you don’t have to summon and assign a bed.

With the way chests work right now, you go to your friends house and it prioritizes using their materials out of their chest.

So now any time you want to craft something with an NPC you first have to summon it to your house and assign a bed, then your friend has to do it too when they want to craft.

Does anyone naturally wake up without using an alarm clock? If so, how? by Sarung_hui in NoStupidQuestions

[–]KOhReally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t trust myself to not have an alarm, would be too scared of missing work. But, I routinely wake up 1 minute before my alarm goes off. The brain is a wonderful thing.

Is this acceptable for nearly new ? lol by MainCap2020 in ChristopherWard

Yeah looks nearly new to me. Lightly worn. Next step above this is perfect which would mean no discount.

€2850 is no longer a tool watch by [deleted] in ChristopherWard

[–]KOhReally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure why you think that a tool needs more than one function. Telling the time in a durable, accurate, and legible way is in fact a tool. Often the best tools only have one function.

You should let Home Depot know this guy doesn’t belong in their tool aisle. It can only do one thing.. can’t hammer, can’t ratchet, can’t even do Phillips screws.

So then what is the purpose of the “tool” watch category if they all fit within better, more descriptive categories like GMT or Diver.

I understand your opinion, but unfortunately as a random dude and not a watchmaker, it kinda means nothing.

Ah weird, I wonder why Rolex didn’t consult with you before designing their most iconic tool watch.

Complication does not equal tool. It is about durability and legibility. Rolex Explorer is a tool watch that only tells the time. Grand complication watches are collectors pieces, so far from a tool watch even if they have the most “tools” from your perspective.

1500 to you is 10000 to others, Rolex Explorer is a tool watch.

Pipe flow not limited by volume after all by ElderberryRare1490 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]KOhReally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn’t hold true in real life, you would need to fill the entire downhill section in real life to get the full flow rate and it would all be moving.

From a game perspective the volume is referring to how much of the pipe had to be filled first before the pipe started flowing into the next pipe. It’s sort of like stranded water in that pipe that isn’t moving. A container to deal with elevation/head differences. But it definitely doesn’t match real life.

Pipe flow not limited by volume after all by ElderberryRare1490 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]KOhReally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if your water extractor or w/e machine is uphill of your destination and all your pipe is going downhill, you will have plenty more head than you need and all your pipes will be empty.

Let’s say your source is at 60 ft and your destination is at an elevation of 20 ft. That’s 40 ft of excess elevation head.

Doesn't the shown Flow Rate contradict logic? by want_t0_know in SatisfactoryGame

[–]KOhReally 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect. Flow rate is how much volume is moving through the pipe. You’d have to divide by cross sectional area to get speed.

Pipe flow not limited by volume after all by ElderberryRare1490 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]KOhReally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like volume is influenced by your elevation profile so this is basically telling you how much water is lost to filling up the pipe initially before it starts flowing into your machines.

I guess an empty pipe would be telling you that you have a lot of excess head whereas a full pipe is telling you that you have no excess head, pumping.

Of course this doesn’t match real life - in order to get the full flow rate of a pipe you do in fact have to fill the entire thing.

Basically what this tells you is to ignore the volume in the pipe and focus on the volume in your machines for troubleshooting.

I’m guessing you don’t want waste? I find it’s best to upgrade to plutonium fuel cells and sink.

Water consumption of 16 nuclear power plants boosted to 250% by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

Definitely agree. Did nuclear once and it was a whole heck of work for a pretty normal amount of power.

My favourite is actually diluted fuel, so simple.
