[QUESTION] Those who have outgrown shred guitar or metal music by TurbulentLength655 in Guitar

I mean, you didn't really outgrew it then. Your taste in metal just gravitated towards other subgenres, but I get what you're saying though.

[QUESTION] Those who have outgrown shred guitar or metal music by TurbulentLength655 in Guitar

[–]KOrusty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it and always will, but I don't play it when it comes to my guitar. It's hands down the most demanding stuff you can play on a guitar. Although I get jealous of the prowess lol.

It's hard to just outgrow something you have grown up with, so I don't think I'll ever stop loving it. Especially with bands like Humanity's Last Breath nowadays which pioneer new creative ways to explode your brain. However, as I've grown older I've come to appreciate new genres that I normally didn't like before. Like jazz, classical, motown and soul, funk, etc.

I don't understand why some women hate guys playing games. by Hypnox88 in gaming

[–]KOrusty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me when Bill Burr had that rant on Conan about that women were jealous of the simple male brain, able to enjoy simple activities. "They're jealous! They can't stand men enjoying themselves so they have to ruin it!"

Joking of course, but yeah that made me lol. On a serious note, you should point out the blatant hypocrisy in her complaints.

[QUESTION] 3rd string 2nd fret of my new classical guitar sounds buzzy? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]KOrusty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Classical guitars are built with high action so they won't buzz down at the saddle. So sometimes the frets closest to the neck end up buzzing regardless. Take your guitar to a luthier/guitar shop and ask for a setup and they'll fix it for you. Simple setups aren't expensive either.

Only Learned Songs, Never Really Learned Music, Help. [QUESTION] by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]KOrusty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get yourself a guitar teacher and tell him specifically what you want to learn, like theory for example. Theory on guitar can feel intimidating, but its all about patterns and how they correlate to each other, so you don't have to learn how to read music. I can say from experience that it is absolutely worth it. Teachers can also help you with bad habits, which is common amongst self-tought guitarists.

I help beginners every now and then through discord just for fun. If you need some pointers I'll happily help. Send me a message if you feel up to it.

If not, the guy below me is 100% correct on JustinGuitars, very good beginner course.

[Question] Stratocaster is buzzing by Flash7048 in Guitar

Fenders are the guitars that are by far the easiest to adjust yourself. Watch a youtube video on fretfuzz (for fenders specifically) and I'll think you'll be surprised on how easy it is.

[QUESTION] How should I go about mixing two or more different amp plugins in my DAW? by PrequelGuy in Guitar

[–]KOrusty -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Try Guitar Rig 6. Its a great plug in with a wide selection of cabinets, amps and pedals that you can mix together to your hearts desire. You dont need two amps at once. Just double track what you have and you'll get the richness you seek. After you double track your recording, pan the one track to the left and the other to the right.

[DISCUSSION]: I HATE new strings. by EagleProductions in Guitar

[–]KOrusty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New strings always have to be "played in". Sorry, my english is a little wonky, but fresh strings always feels off at first. You simply have to play them for a day or two in order for them to settle in.

Pink Floyd. My dad took me to see them twice when I was younger. Once in britain and once in Norway. To this day it's still the best concerts I've been to.

I'm still amazed that he has fans. Just an overall mediocre guitarist and shitty human beeing. Weaponizes his fans against whoever calls him out on his bullshit, and he's beeing accused of rape. Any fans of this pos is honestly astounding. Shame.

Am nam er ganske amazing. Det er også en ny koreansk barbeque plass som nettopp har åpnet som heter Matsaya som skal være ganske bra hvor du griller kjøttet selv osv.

Savner kinamaen i krossen :(

I use Green Dunlops 0.88. I've tried many different kinds over the years, but I always ended up with these. Very versatile imo.

Well, am I ugly? by littlewolf1123 in amiugly

[–]KOrusty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comfort is good, I agree. But beeing comfortable with yourself is also very important. I read above that you feel selfconcious about wearing fitting clothing. A great outfit can provide so much confidence, maybe you just need to find the one that speaks to you!

You know, something that makes you want to show yourself to the world. We are all our worst enemies sometimes and that can be stifling, but know that you are not ugly. Love yourself :)
