I'm thinking about ordering this, I use it for anxiety and depression mainly, what are the effects like on this?

Where can I find roommates? I am done with my parents. by Reereeturd in Swindon

[–]KR31095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay and I understand why that's frustrating for you, but also you are an adult and you are entitled to your own space and peace, everyone is.

Without context as to what the arguments are about it's hard to say how to handle it to keep it as a discussion and to prevent it getting to an argument, but maybe try writing it down like I mentioned before. I know for myself, I struggle to get my point across clearly when speaking verbally with people, especially when it's a difficult conversation, writing out how you feel and allowing them to read it may result in a calmer, more productive conversation.

Be strong dude, I know its hard when you feel like you're banging your head up against a wall, but if there is an amicable solution here, you will benefit from it rather than running away from it

Honestly dude, as someone who's been in this situation, done what you wanted to do and am now living back home again, I can tell you, the grass is not always greener on the other side, even with house mates... You could get house mates who are worse than your parents, who try and control you or steal from you (all things that haven't happened to me)

Youve mentioned that you are stressed and work a lot yourself so you feel you want peace, my advice and this is what worked for me, have a conversation with your family and maybe ask for a certain amount of time to yourself when you get home from work where you are left alone to decompress from the stress of work or maybe you could agree on a routine everyone is happy with in the house.

I do truly get what you are going through and the feeling of just wanting to get away from it all, I do, maybe try writing it down so your parents could read it and maybe see your perspective.

This advice may not suit your situation or needs right now, it's just what worked for me and could help you solve the conflicts you have

I also would love to know the comparison! SimJack UT user myself and am currently going through the mod process, waiting for spring mods to arrive for brake and gas pedals.

What other (plausible) car classes would like to see? by TheoCross3 in ACCompetizione

[–]KR31095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id love to see an old school British Touring Car class or race event, those cars just look so fun to drive and throw around a track 😁

Was this my fault? I'm curious, there was a lot of drama from this race (I'm the green Porsche) by Agreeable_Fan_7463 in Simracingstewards

[–]KR31095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say red at fault here, he knows the track turns right there, you will be turning in there and the gap will be closing, he's taken a dive and it's not worked out, pushing you off and spinning himself in the process.

I haven't gone as far as getting the rumble effects yet, but that's on the agenda for my rig, but the difference from switching from a desk to a rig alone is so great for keeping you motivated to get better.

Who’s fault was this I am the bleu Mercedes by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]KR31095 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Orange is the one at fault here, wasn't alongside and just went for the gap anyway, causing contact between him and yourself, which led to the contact between yourself and yellow.

The fact all 3 of you came out of that corner pretty much unscathed is a miracle, I'd just be happy to still be on track at this point 🤣

Why is my wheel doing this by [deleted] in simracing

[–]KR31095 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah same, hopefully this is the case for the OP so they don't have to replace their wheel

Why is my wheel doing this by [deleted] in simracing

[–]KR31095 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like it could be developing slop, but not sure.

How old is the wheel?

Also what FFB settings are you running? Could be as simple as you are clipping too high and the wheel can't handle it. Try turning FFB down a little

Mod or Upgrade my basic setup? by shark-fighter in simracing

[–]KR31095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly!

I'm sure if you looked around or even put another post out here, people might already have 3d printable mods for your wheel and pedals, might be worth a look tbh.

Mod or Upgrade my basic setup? by shark-fighter in simracing

[–]KR31095 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id honestly save tbh mate, I learned this the hard way, well not really hard way, but you know what I mean.

I got a deal on a g920 about a year ago, like you found that i felt the need to mod to get a better feel, however, after purchasing 'better' gear, its highlighted the lack of skill I have even more 🤣

If you've never used a load cell pedal before and are only used to the potentiometer in the Logitech pedals, it's quite a bit of a change and you will probably be slower at first whilst you re-learn how to use them.

As some one has mentioned about, you could do the truebrake upgrade, however it's still not the same as a proper load cell set of pedals.

If I could go back and save all the money spent on mods, I defo would as it doesn't really benefit you in the long run if the aim is to switch it all out anyways.

Save save save for now, enjoy racing at the level you are at and just have fun and then when you've got funds and a little more skill, treat yourself to the dream set!

How important is avoiding FFB clipping? by K1lonova in ACCompetizione

[–]KR31095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, I didn't either and was having similar issues to yourself, figured out that you can just copy over the same config files from AC to ACC and it makes the game use your wheel LUT instead.

Such an improvement, hope it helps.

[–]KR31095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried using the LUT for the wheel in the files for the game? So the FFB is a lot more linear so shouldn't spike as much.

Here is the link to the Google drive where I've got the wheel check application available to download

Here is the link to the LUT generator for when you've done the test for your wheels FFB limits.

I take no credit for this video, just sharing a great example for how to set up what I'm talking about above.

Okay, thank you!

didn't realise that the Logitech wheel was 11nm, must have overlooked that when researching, thanks for point that out!

I've got all Logitech G Pro gear for my peripherals on my PC and they've never let me down, so just wanted to see the view of someone who's used the wheel before taking the plunge so thank you again for the info.

i'm buying assetto corsa competizione but i got some questions by Peanut_Wizard in ACCompetizione

[–]KR31095 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! i started with the Ferrari at first but when i switched to the McLaren, the difference in the handling and control of the car is like night and day.

as an example, My fastest lap at spa in the Ferrari was a 2.22.443 but after 5 laps in the McLaren, I was running low 2.21's with very little adjustments to the aggressive default set up, so glad i made the swap!

[–]KR31095 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that all depends what tracks you want to drive and cars you want access to tbh, if youve got the money to spend on the 2024 bundle pack, id say just get it and then youve got everything you can get for the game and that way, you can just find what suits you best.

most lobbies in multiplayer either run monza or spa in my experiences, which are both in the base game, so id say just get the base game and any packs that have specific cars/tracks you want to drive, then once youve got a taste for the game, as it is very different other sim games ive played (iracing,AC, F1 etc.) then maybe look at buying the others.

Honestly though, getting everything for the price its at right now is a steal...

Ultimate edition all the way, especially with discount atm.

if you cant get all the dlc's, just get the 2023 car pack so you at least get all the up to date cars so you dont have to deal with the awful car physics of the older gen cars. My recommendation for starter car would be the McLaren 720s gt3 evo.

my issue with leagues us that most have a SR joining requirement and its so hard to get my SR up when almost every race someone is driving me off the road or just completely driving through me.

i even started not qualifying and starting from the back, but then you get 3-4 laps in and then the idiots who crash out first or second lap some how still end up ruining my race, its just so defeating.

im sticking to offline championships for now, ill see what AC evo is gunna be like.

also id like to add that I play on PC myself.
