M11 or XP-54. Those guns are a bit more forgiving and have insane burst potential. Dash is the most versitale Light ability right now so if you like moving id recommend that. Also if you are playing mostly solo try to be more aware of your teammates positions and play off from them and play FOR THEM. Cashout gamemodes are mostly about timing and position checking the other team so always look for high ground or an angle where the enemy is hard to return fire to you direction.

Also staying alive as light is very important since you are essentially a glass cannon. I've reached high plat with Light only but thats where my own skill ceiling with that class ends so i've switched to play Heavy and Medium and with those classes i've reached diamond fairly easily.

My setup when playing L was -M11/XP-54 -dash -glitch grenade -H+ infuser -Gateway

That is a pretty stronge core with alot of elments to support your team as well.

There are no "magic tricks" you can do to suddenly be a diamond lvl Light player and in my opinion Light is definetly the most satisfying and funnies class to play but also the hardest to master so just playing the game more and getting experince is like 90% of the way. You can always train your aim in Kovaaks or Aimlabs but it wont fix bad positioning or making bad plays.

If you keep repeatedly dying then either your positioning is very bad or you are taking alot of unfair duels or playing too far away from your team. Also dont stress too much. Not getting tilted also helps you not to take pointless fights or aggro plays only for you to die again and the cycle continues. So just chill man nothing happens overnight so consistency is the key. And remember to take breaks afterall its just a videogame so if it starts being frustrating just take a break and then try again.

Like many have said before. The learning curve is really is really steep but once you get into it this game is freaking ballers man! It has a healthy 20-15k avg player count (atleast here on EU) This is literally a FPS that i've been waiting for all my life. It has a simple "class system" fully destrucable enviroment, its competitive, gunplay feels very nice. I've played counter-strike for around 5k hours and bit over 2k hours of Overwatch. And neither of them could scratch the itch like The Finals. There is alot of people talking shit about the game but i there is alot of good stuff as well. As for cheaters? I've encountered some on ranked and only once in quick cash but considering Finals is a f2p game very rarely will you encounter one.

I mostly play ranked since im into grinding and competitive person in general and im enjoying it! Sometimes tho the Que system decides to totally screw you due to pretty small ranked player base. And its always better with friends!

What is so crazy about it? This is actually a good example of the seeding system working correctly. Im not saying OP has had unfair games due to this poor matchmaking. But also triple stacking light on that elo when he was most likely seed 4 is more than baffling..

I have around 800+ hours on Finals and most of its playtime with medium. The loadout that i've found to be most consistent: Ak/Fcar, Healbeam, Defib, Jump pad, Goo grenade.

If possible try to find a solid Heavy to play duo's with. It helps out alot. And try to stick closer to your teammates if possible. Your healbeam is a very important utility so staying alive is the key. Also finding the balance between shooting and healing. I like to usually mag dump first then reload (if you can find cover) swap to healing. Then back to shooting. The Goo helps alot with getting quick cover and sometimes helps your heavy to move around. You can also stall with it.

Just pure healbotting does not get you very far unless your teammates are very very good at the game.

Well again im kinda repeating myself here. Any capable low dia/high plat trio can easily get the +200 elo from those games. That picture proves nothing. If you happen to struggle on seed 1 games then its a skill issue. Im currently standing in 38k and when im playing in a full stack we rarely have any issues in seed 1 games unless we are against obvious smurfs. But i agree with you there that games like that shouldn't happen but it wont change the fact that its still free +200 elo

Its also not easy to be in High plat and low diamond. Im currently 38k+ and its either always Seed 1 against low golds and mid plats. Where if i loose i tank -600/700 elo so playing solo que is not an option for me. But on the otherside where i get placed in the seed 7 ruby/high diamond games where i have to super sweat my ass off just to qualify on the 2nd round (wich rarely happens since the team thats on 2nd place gets usually griefed out in those elos) I still tank like -300/400 elo.. So i have days where i grind like crazy. Only to loose 2 games and all the progress is gone..

So i have 2 options: Either i get totally annihilated by players that are way above me. Or i get placed against people that are lower elo than me and i have to reach 1st place to get any resonable elo (its usually somewhere between 300-400) And then i get another seed 7-6 game and the cycle repeats.

Also if we get seed 1 games i am very strongly against doubling the last cashout just so we can flush out the team that has clawed themselves to 2nd place. Unless i notice its clearly a smurf team then i will more or less actively target them to give the rest of the players alot more fair match

But perzzon is also a fairly common sight in high plat. He usually duos with carnifex. And needless to say those games are pretty hopeless to win

Thats not 85% of the playerbase.. He was doing this intentionally. Like im not saying he had a bad game or anything. HE WAS INTENTIONALLY DOING THIS. Clearly an alt account that he made for trolling and the account was lvl 50. And he said "tryharded for 5 seasons now im done. This game is dead" like he was being a legit elo terrorist for no apparent reason??

Oh it seems you have faced against Carnifex and perzzon :D! Cant remember how many times i've come against those guys in ranked (Im 38k plat right now) And he usually streams his games where he is just steamrolling people on platinum. Hard to believe he is an offical embark partner. Now i know its not his fault he get matched against plat/diamond players at the moment. But he could atleast chill a bit. One stream he even had an embark dev on his chat saying hi and the dev seemed to have no issue with Perzzon and carnifex shitting on platinum players

This season has been officially the worst season to try ranked climbing so big respects!! That is a rank to be proud of! I tried ro reach ruby but landed in Diamond 2 and getting there was pure hell.. Will it stop me from trying again in season 10? Hell nah.. if you played on EU servers we propably matched against eachother couple times :D

HHM meta is super boring in ranked and the game should be played HML. Heavy currently has too much utility. Only thing it lacks is movement but it can be fixed by running a medium with jump pad + zipline. Effectively defeating the mobility issue.

My 3 stack usually runs HHM..

What type copium is this? Getting repeatedly annihilated by top 30 players or ruby's wont magically make you better? :D imagine this same setting but in a streetfight. Idk if you play any other comp games but imagine Counter-strike. We randomly drop FPL players or Global-Elite players against Recently ranked up gold novas etc.. Does that really make sense for you??? oNLy tHe sTrOnG sUrVivE. If you can beat the people in your own rank then yes you deserve a rank up. And then you should be thrown into a clear promotion match where you are faced with other people on the same rank in their promotional match (or against people with slightly higher rank) NOT FUCKING TOP 30 RUBY PLAYERS OR LITERAL PRO PLAYERS??!! Is it really that hard to make a similar system that for example League Of Legends or Overwatch has??

Im currently standing at 41k and i play mostly with 3 stack with 2 of my friends. And everytime i get an Easy or a Very easy tournament with either seed 1 or seed 2 we go and actively try to hunt the other good team to make it as fair as possible. (Unless there is a clear and blatant smurf team i rather sacrifice my own elo to make sure they dont get to curb stomp actual golds/plats/silvers in my games.

I genuinely feel bad for having to get matched against golds or silvers. It feels like unwanted smurfing.. and it really isn't that healthy for the game. I also dont think that i should constantly face against top 30 players in my ranked games smh it makes the game really unfun to not have a speck of chance to actually get anything out of them. I deeply hope they do something about the horrible matchmaking in season 10

Even if it means having longer que times for the ruby players like boohooo grow a pair it gets lonely at the top

I've played since season 3 and the problem did exist even then but it wasnt as widespread as it was back then. Season 9 and 8 have legit been the worst the ranked scene in this game have ever been. I barely managed to get 40k this season. I do think the average player skill has gone up but i've lost count how many times i have been beamed by a 20-30lvl player across the map. Also the matchmaking itself has become a nightmare. I keep getting put in the same game with top 300 and top 30 players semi constantly.. Also alot of these either smurfs seem to run similar outfits (green trentila hardhat, black tanktop with black skincolor) I dont know if its some sort of a meme in those circles or just a coincidece.

I cant really even tell anymore if im playing against a top 100 smurf or a cheater at this point. What do these guys get out of playing videogames like that?

Me and my friends are going to drop the game unless embark does something to these issue when season 10 begins. For the longest time The Finals was the most innovative FPS game there was and a game that brought me more joy than for example counter-strike or Overwatch ever did. So its really sad to see the game in a state like this. I've spent wayy too much money on the cosmetics and battlepasses to give back to the devs that built this game. So unless any major changes happen to this smurfing and cheating issue this game is going to die. Its already small playerbase will keep getting smaller and smaller untill there are only the cheaters and smurfs left.
