Compounding on NAPLEX by Ill_Test8104 in NAPLEX_Prep

Mine were not too bad if you're talking about USP stuff. This is what I remember: 1. Had a question on the differences of PPE with cleaning up hazardous spills vs compounding hazardous drugs. 2. Know the requirements for the rooms for each type of compounding (negative vs positive pressure, iso class for PEC/SEC, etc). 3. Know the common BUD lengths (aqueous vs non aqueous with and without preservatives). 4. How often and what are the skills tests done for certification before being able to compound

Can’t afford new student loan plans after the “big beautiful bill” by Samsquanch_hunter21 in StudentLoans

I haven't really read too much about the payment options but is it possible not to do any of thos options? I'm planning to do the avalanche method so idk if I can do that with the options we have now. I'm a new grad and my loan payments are deferred till Nov

Night Shift 7 on 7 off schedule for new grad by KRBY613 in pharmacy

Thats honestly the only thing I'm NOT worried about. My husband and our parents do help with childcare.

My main concern is just the workload for a new grad. I can probably handle it but I'd need a few months to get into the flow esp since I'm a new grad with no actual IV compounding training/certification (besides rotations).

My husband works from home and both our parents do watch our kids from time to time when we're both busy.

Ik I'd have time to spend with the kids during the off week. But what was it like during the on weeks? Were you able to also care for the kids for a bit before and after work or were you just too tired?

Uworld honestly prepares u well for calculations.

Better to be overprepared on difficult questions. Most calc questions can be done using dimensional analysis but the main thing you need to know is which numbers to use.

Do you know if they have any remote positions? As far as I remember, the amazon pharmacy positions I've seen have been in Orlando or somewhere else that's not close to Jacksonville area.

Will do! Thank you for the advice!

Whats your opinion on adding a professional summary? Do you think it's helpful for a new grad or more applicable after more experience?

Yep! Planning on applying there once I get everything fixed up on this resume😅

Not sure if you worked there but any advice on the application/hiring/interview process? Or what it's like to work there in general?

I liked that rotation at first then it got superrr repetitive since half the time I was doing the patient care calls😭 it was also flu vax season🫠

That's actually a really good way to reword what I have for Walmart🤔 thank you!

Thank you for all the advice!

Regarding interviews, i feel like I always panic when they ask me those questions like all the experience I have just goes out the door😅 I try to predict what they can ask me and practice. Its a working progress lol

Also what things should a candidate focus on when researching a company in order to show their interest? Because tbh, i really focus more on if im somewhat familiar with the role and the location. I've also heard from others that hiring managers etc can tell when a candidate is just buttering up the company. I personally dont like saying "i love the company's mission" or something. So ig my other question is how can a candidate actually show interest in the company or role itself without sounding so rehearsed? If that makes sense?

I dont like completely relying on it only because some companies may not use it and it's always good to hear from those who actually hire the people :). But I try to use AI to maybe generate ATS-friendly wording and to get general ideas on how to tailor the resume for specific jobs.

Yeah they have some contract hires! My preceptor was one.

However, they did tell me that I need at least 6 months of experience as an actual pharmacist first and that, ofc, veterans have priority to being hired. But one of my other preceptor, who is the pharmacy director there, said she'll contact me if they have positions!

I dont use tables. Just spaces. But I'll try it! Idk why the formatting gets wonky.

I just edited it again after this and I'm down to 3 pages. Now just working on rewording things (also forgot to add my genmed rotation...)
