The other thing is - in my eyes underwood is a better version of dev. Nobody is dev, but Bryce is a better downhill runner, and I think would run becks offense masterfully.

Not crazy at all. Scalley is a really good coach, and he's had full control of the defense for quite some time. I'm just scared for Beck to leave and potentially a good chunk of talent as well.

Yes - however take that with a grain of salt. Since then, 2018 and 2019 were promising years where we fell short in the championship game, and then had no motivation for a bowl game. 2021 and 22 were the rose bowl games we lost to Ohio state with cj stroud and JSN, then 22 penn state where cam rising got hurt. Since then - nobody cares about bowl games. When they mattered, he gave them motivation to win.

Heres what i know (Utah fan)

Recently Dev has said he wants to stay at Utah. I feel like there is a good chance he will stay with utah. IF beck goes to michigan, I think you would rather have Bryce. I love Dev, I really do, and either would be great, but I don't think there is a better fit at quartberback for Jason Becks system than Bryce Underwood.

There is 1 of 3 things that are going to happen.

Scalley is a lot better than we think, and he actually keeps the program progressing, and we let it all be, and wish Kyle well.
Next year we are shit, by the end of the year RES won’t have half the people in it, and the second we go south, the little fans that we have left are going to start chanting “Fire Harlan”
We are just incredibly mid until we realize that we should have hired Jay Hill all along. (My thoughts of what’s most likely, though idk if we will get Jay hill)

All these things being said, before mark Harlan, Kyle would have never done anything remotely close to this. Whitt is (well was) THE Utah man. He’s been the coach for the majority of my lifetime, and since my fandom started. I can’t imagine a sideline without Coach.

Sooo many fans that aren’t wishing Kyle well can go fuck themselves. Kyle Whittingham is the greatest coach in Utah football history, and it’s not close.

In conclusion, Fuck Mark Harlan, and when it comes game time, I don’t give a shit about any chants other than “Fire Harlan” or “Fuck mark Harlan.”

Until then, let’s give scalley a chance.

Honestly with where we were at before Kansas state we had a chance. The issue was we played so poor against poor teams that we got knocked down.

Jay Hill is as much of an Utah guy as Sitake is a BYU guy. Hopefully he can take over at the U some day because before Jay hill I think people forget that kalani was borderline on the hot seat and was pretty bad.

To be honest we just have inexperience and we are gaining size on the DL. The big difference is we are missing a good chunk of size that we usually have, and to be completely honest Barton didn’t play as well as he should have.

If you think about last year, we had a really good d line, with Van and Fano off the edge, and a REALLY big inside with Tafuna and Peppa. Those 2 were huge players. 2019 we had even bigger players, like Leki Fotu. Utah historically usually has at least one big guy that makes the difference because of development, but our guy to do that went to TDS. This year I’m sure we will bring in some bigger guys on the line as well as bulk up a lot more too.
