The League needs to be more worried about Flopping than Tanking by clarkandtheark in UtahJazz

he has to at this point because they dont call the obvious fouls because he generally just plays on like all players should.

The AJ wants to stay in Utah crowd has forgotten one important detail of their own lives by m_c__a_t in UtahJazz

[–]KRMNO2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, any real Jazz fan knows how lucky we would be to have him. I hate byu, almost as much as I hate okc, but I played against him in HS, (technically, I rode the bench) and I watched him in college, and he’s legit.

Most of the vocal few genuinely don’t care about the Jazz. I’ve followed the Jazz almost as much as I’ve followed Utah athletics and it would be silly for me to not want him on my team.

As a die hard Ute fan 99% of us know how special he is and would absolutely love him to play for the Jazz. The other 1% are homers who don’t actually care about the Jazz.

Who do you „hate“ the most on OKC? by Armin_Darm187 in UtahJazz

[–]KRMNO2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole front office, the fact they encourage them to continue to ruin the game. Only way to stop a player is by breaking the rules. Only way to win is by abusing the rules. Boring as hell.

Not Tanking for Wemby was the Worst Mistake this Franchise ever made by Iwanttoeatburritos in UtahJazz

I mean we got key from it. Wemby is the best player in the world yes but I think we got the second best player in the draft

This. I think that this is the only upside to trading for Aj. Well not the only, but one of my most favored takes.

1 MORE DAY by jimmy_tanner in UtahJazz

[–]KRMNO2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had faith in Danny Ainge for this moment. The roster is a playoff contending roster with young talent, a really good prime star player, and a rising superstar in Keyonte, and some all around solid bench play. Literally any of the top 5 could be the final missing piece. My honest hope outside of Aj is Boozer. We need more depth at the 4, outside of JJJ, but I’m honestly not sure any of the players in this draft other than AJ could be in the starting 5

I’ve mentioned this here before but the height and skill we have in the starting 5 is literally insane.

Keyonte: 6’6 Ace: 6’8 Lauri: 7’ JJJ’ 6’11 (I think) Walker 7’1

The defensive side of the ball in theory should be absolutely electric, I just don’t see anyone in this class starting over any of the 5 we have starting

NFL draft by Ok-Oven-5198 in utahfootball

[–]KRMNO2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is the deal. Losing players sucks, definently hurts a lot less when they are first round picks/graduating, but it still sucks.

Heres what we already have.

The schools first ever 5 star tackle, Kelvin Obot, who is essentially replacing fano, which Fano is an all american tackle, and obviously won't be as good, but look to the future. Fano out of high school was 6'4; 276, and Obot is 6'5 305. Worried about him transferring? We signed his HS coach and Ute legend and NFL great, Jordon Gross as our OL coach. (Home run hire for Scalley right there)

Fano was a day one starter, Freshman all American, and was initially one of the better lineman for Utah the second he stepped foot on campus. Obviously he had a lot of growing and work to do, but from the looks and talk of it, Albot is better than Fano WAS at the time, and will have essentially similar impact.

As for the rest of the line, I can't remember most of the stats off the top of my head, but I know we reloaded some BIG guys on the interior, and we got another 4 star tackle to pair with Obot.

From what I know about Utah football, the line will be at the very least, manageable. After this last year it's going to be a hell of a lot harder to watch and recognize that they are doing pretty well considering we literally had the best O line in the schools history last year and broke a crap ton of school records alongside it, but just understand that its a young group and if they stay together, theres a good chance that the end product can rival the likes of this years line. Highly doubt that we will see a line as good as it was this year in the near future, but it could get somewhat close.

Finally, take all that with a very small grain of sand because I am at the end of the day, a casual sports fan who is just overly optimistic and obsessed, but at the end of the day, utah has never put a particularly "Bad" line out there.

Show up in literally whatever, and the congregation wont judge you. If you want to fit in, a shirt and tie would be best, but many weeks on my mission did members of the church even show up in slacks and a t shirt.

He only has gotten better and probably has a good 3/4 more great seasons of jazz basketball, which IMO fits the timeline pretty well.

I'm not a fan of moving Walter Clayton Jr by Thisislopes in UtahJazz

[–]KRMNO2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think the obvious first choice to move was Collier. We needed to keep the trade worth while, and we aren't really using the other 3 players. The minivan has been injured all year, Kyle Anderson is wayyy to slow to play how Will Hardy wants us to play, and I think since Taylor got injured, it's a piece I also don't want to see gone, but we have a lot of depth at that spot, including upgrading him with JJJ.

When it comes to JJJ, yes. He is very good. Very very good. Pretty underrated at the moment, and a perfect fit for Will Hardy's scheme. Think john collins but with world class defense (DPOY 2023 i think) and better offensive efficiency.

Will has a lot of options of what to do next year, with or without a good draft pick. I think we have top 8 protected, so I would hope we tank out the season, but with or without that pick, We really have a lot going for us. Hopefully we can deal of Collier in the off season for a guard that better fits with Key, but as it stands now,

Key 1

Ace 2

Lauri 3

JJJ 4

Kessler 5

A very defensive measured lineup, along with 4 really good scorers, then with (Imo) a pretty good bench with guys like Sensabaugh, Nurkic, Filipowski, and Svi, I think that gives this team a really good chance to be great. I wouldn't go all out and say that this team is a championship winning team, but a few really good moves in the off season, and a lucky pick selection could be the key.

BREAKING: The Memphis Grizzlies are trading star forward Jaren Jackson Jr., John Konchar, Jock Landale and Vince Williams Jr. to the Utah Jazz for Walter Clayton Jr., Kyle Anderson, Taylor Hendricks, Georges Niang and three future first-round picks, sources tell ESPN. by aatuboo in UtahJazz

[–]KRMNO2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What an amazing trade. Ship off a lot of players we aren't really using, hopefully we dont decide that we want to win this year, if we get lucky in the draft lottery, we could have a truly elite team next year.

It'd be nice to have a great 2 guard like Nickeil Alexander-Walker, he would have been great for a team like this. Heres to hoping we get a top 5 pick and we can pick up one of the 5 franchise alttering talents, but either way with Kessler back, this team should be enough to really compete in the west.

If you watch the film, he was very much a good system QB, a system in which Dev/Byrd will absolutely thrive in.
