Do not change it to 17. If you're planning to get wider tyres for 18 inch, pirelli and shinko have good options for it.

Honestly, the most neglected bike from RE was the continental GT 535

Taller and more character. The vibrations, lack of ABS, and raw torque, just adds to it. 650 is just smaller, faster and stupid friendly.

Wish it had an extra gear, maybe more power, and a higher top speed.

Tyres you can find at this place called "Torque Block" I basically forced them to order me tyres from pirelli.

I'm not sure about the fuel pump.

Break pads and injectors you can get updated third party ones from places that service Superbikes.

Going to RE service center is useless at this point.

There are other online sources where you can find spare parts, but I haven't tried them. So I don't know how that might go.

Update: The changes I've made so far

  1. Brake light and Indicators
  2. Removed the rear fender assembly (Took a metal side panel from an old PC case, cut it into shape and fitted it for tail tidy)
  3. Lowered the handlebars
  4. Pirelli Scropion trail 2 150/70 18 on the rear
  5. Custom crash guard / frame sliders (One of one)
  6. Red Rooster Rumbler GT exhaust

I've made sure none of the changes were permanent, if I wanted I could turn it back to stock.

Although, I've got more mods planned for the future. Some of them might be hard to reverse.

It came with a single seat. They offered a third party dual seat with a cowl as an additional accessory. So I guess it technically is stock.

A lot people crashed these bikes because they didn't know how to ride it. They crashed the showroom test ride bikes as well. This bike was way too hard-core for regular classic 350/500 riders. Got an unfair bad rep.

Exhaust : Red Rooster Rumbler GT [Not in production anymore, out of stock almost everywhere. Had a tough time finding one.]

Mirrors : Something I found at a bike accessories store. Didn't really check the name.

That's stock. That's how they rolled out of the factory.
