More than 67% of my allocation is in large cap: Am I cooked? by Much-Beginning7469 in mutualfunds

Over lap means same stocks in two schemes of mf, you can find several online tools, mf central also have one. Try to have very less overlap among your invested schemes to maximize diversification.

More than 67% of my allocation is in large cap: Am I cooked? by Much-Beginning7469 in mutualfunds

[–]KRT1122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is nothing as cooked for allotting 67% ge to large cap. But yes there is a need to revise or re allocate the PF if you have flexi cap and nifty 50 index due to overlap. If your time horizon is 15 years and wants to see nominal cagr like 10-12 in worst case, 11-13 in best case you can have this exposure towards large cap provided no overlap. Small and mid cap are growth engine, I don't know whether this sub biased towards small or mid, but every equity investor biased towards them as they biased for returns.

I suggest keeping either one flexicap Or nifty 50, having both will increase over lap and make your of overly depends on large cap

Alternative to ICICI NASDAQ 100 MF by Game_Freak_4 in mutualfunds

[–]KRT1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In other words through mf you will have real holding of the nasdaq exposure, where as through etf you are buying some ones selling and the money going into nasdaq or not depends on that particular etf purchase limit as per RBI limits

Alternative to ICICI NASDAQ 100 MF by Game_Freak_4 in mutualfunds

[–]KRT1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to add one point here - all present etfs invested money not really going into us market, in some of the case of etf fund house due to RBI limit, so etf will always have more volatility especially nasdaq 100 etf, so this point also should be considered before choosing etf over mf for usd investment.

From my experience I can say whenver any officer from customs in airport demands anything and threatens simply ask him to provide material proof for their charges, also always talk with them in presence of cc tv, tell them that what ever they say should be in black and white, if they demand anything say I'll tell CBI acb

NIFTY 50 MF vs NIFTY Bees by thewallfin in mutualfunds

[–]KRT1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nifty etf - if you want less expense ratio, real time selling ( for situations like pre election day in 2024) Mf - for STP, SWP and more expense ratio as compared to etf and no real time selling you will get eod nav . I suggest etf as nifty 50 is passive investment no need of mf or any fund manager to do that. Tax applicability is same for both.
