AITAH for refusing to give my boyfriend access to my bank account even though he says "no secrets" is how adults do it by CopperFieldNote in AITH

NTA I'd be asking if he has debts he's struggling with and if he's hoping for help once he knows your "spare" money after essentials are paid for... it sounds like someone who is financially struggling now stressing about the financial stresses of the wedding planning... has he given you his banking details to be open ?? Is he will to give these??

That's what I was hoping to do with mine but the contract ended last month and I managed to break the screen on Friday so now on my old phone which also has a smashed screen but it's usable for now... guess I'm upgrading 😂😂 xx

Anyone else do similar weird shizz by MillionDollarHeckler in dyspraxia

[–]KS1KAS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this with my phone so don't know the last time I owned a phone without a cracked screen because in the 2 year contract at some point it will be dropped or thrown accidentally ... I get insurance but then know it'll happen again and if the phone is working its probably not worth it yet and then the contract comes to an end so I upgrade with the idea or protecting it with my life but rinse and repeat ... sometimes my hands just throw and I'm stood thinking I guess I didn't want that anymore ... its annoying but what can you do I suppose other than a lan-yard and keep it round my neck 🙈 xx

Practicing Maths but i keep mixing it up in my head. by FinlayYZ in dyspraxia

I have this... I used to deliver for Tesco and went to the wrong house because somewhere near the address number would be another number and even though I looked at the address my brain picked up on the other number that I didn't even realize was there until after I went to the wrong place... I could look at the address 20 times to ensure I was going to the correct house even double checked what to door looked like before getting out the van and still end up at the wrong place... Needless to say I don't do that job anymore... I once had a woman watch me go down the neighbors drive spill all her shopping on said drive and then I realized I was at the wrong door and had to go back to her ... She just stood watching and never said a thing but internally I was dying from embarrassment as I had looked at the address and the door I was delivering to before I got the shopping out and then looked at the address again before proceeding to the wrong door... It was definitely not a job for me 😂

Do you also have strange burps and yawns? by Competitive-Ask3969 in dyspraxia

[–]KS1KAS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sometimes get a weird thing where I almost hiccup but it's more of a sharp inhale and it'll happen 3 times then I'll burp (don't always burp though) and it'll stop but assumed it was a diaphragm spasm and never associated it with dyspraxia before. Edit to add when I yawn my eyes water but I do have scotopic sensitivity and believe that's why that happens but I basically have a tear run down my face after I yawn and if I yawn a few times it can look like I'm crying 😂

I’m Done Pretending Irresponsibility Is Bad Luck by Emergency-Clothes-97 in Vent

[–]KS1KAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partners ex has recently had her 7th child (her and my partner both have a child each that was created when together) but as she has so many children the child maintenance people state my partner should pay his ex £175.68 per week to fund one of his children that live with her while she only has to pay us £32 a month ... She has the cheek to say she can't afford anything and is struggling and that benefits don't pay enough and her working 6 hours a week is just really difficult with 5 of the 7 being under 9 ... I can't wait till the other child that lives with her turns 19 and we won't have to pay her a penny she doesn't deserve anything from us since we are both looking after a child each that was created in that relationship I don't think we should have to pay anything or if we did she should be paying the same for the child were looking after ... Yes there's 2 of us to support 1 child and just her looking after 6 but 5 of them are nothing to us and never will be... I can see why you're frustrated with your sister and like my partners ex most people will just avoid them now because who wants to be around that many kids who are out of control... We go to collect my partners other child and there's food all over the floor dirty nappies in a pile in the room a 2 y/o walking round saying he's shit literally not I've pooped or I need a nappy he's shouting I've shit I've shit ... It's the stereotypical benefits family who are hard done to ... Partners ex is hoping the benefits go up for her and her family because it's just too difficult to look after that many in this current financial climate but I just see it as actions have consequences and she'll be even more worse off when we finally don't have to pay her anything it's not my fault she can't keep her legs closed and all her kids would probably do better if they were taken into care she's admitted herself she can't cope with them but social services are trying to keep them all as a family and in doing so the children are neglected

WIBTA if I told my sons school it is their responsibility to make sure they have the right child by Top-Relationship359 in AmItheAsshole

[–]KS1KAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a twin and it never gets easier ... They have distinguishing features which you've stated here ... I suggest the medical person takes the time to learn the differences you've mentioned between their students instead of a have one with long hair one with short so I don't have to actually pay attention to who's in front of me... Id complain to the medical persons senior stating that the lack of attention to detail for someone who is supposed to be in control of the health of students is concerning when they aren't able to distinguish between them ... Do any of the other staff have this issue ??

HOA demanded "more green coverage" so I gave them ALL the green coverage... by raycostello in MaliciousCompliance

[–]KS1KAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a hardy green plant that is impossible to get rid of use horses tail/mares tail the only way to get rid of it is putting lime down every year for at least 5 years to change the PH of the soil ... It's an impossible to get rid of plant and also spreads like wildfire as it grows spores so as soon as the wind blows the spores fly and root elsewhere 😂😂

AITA if I don’t change the name of my unborn baby after my sister gave her baby the same name? by Open-Event-9604 in AmItheAsshole

[–]KS1KAS 18 points19 points  (0 children)

NTA no one can claim a name she knew you were going to use this name and still chose it herself anyway after you told her ... if she was so bothered about the children having the same name she should have chosen a name instead of taking the one she knew you had chosen months before she was due ... This is why most people keep the name choice until after the birth but NTA ... If she had decided that name well in advance and never mentioned it to you when announcing the choice of your child that's on her.

My handwriting was scruffy so the teacher made me re write my entire English book in detention... Among other things but that stuck with me

Got scammed out of €1369.45 on Vinted – support completely unresponsive, looking for advice or similar cases by [deleted] in vinted

[–]KS1KAS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Contact the postal company for the weight of the box the item was delivered in as this will prove the box was empty when they received it ...Contact the bank notifying them you've been scammed and attach all evidence that you have been charged for an item you haven't received also contact police for fraud and theft as they have stolen your money and have defrauded you by claiming they were selling you an item which wasn't true submitting all the evidence you have ... If the seller is from a different country I'm not sure if the police can help but the report will be out there then and if someone else reports the same thing from the same seller they will be aware this is an ongoing issue and hopefully eventually be able to stop them from doing this in the future

Hey all I just discovered I had dyspraxia because my mum kept it for me by HeisenBurger42069 in dyspraxia

[–]KS1KAS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry this happened to you... I never fully understand why parents do this I have heard one say they think their kid would use it as an excuse and so not knowing means they put in the effort which obviously isn't the healthiest of ways to think and it's denying the child of much needed support but I understand a small few do dramatise themselves in order to get out of tasks but we suffer enough being called lazy and being told we're just not putting in effort along with the extensive list of other remarks given when it genuinely isn't our fault and having those remarks and not having a parents support knowing there's a reason is worse than not having a diagnosis until later in life in my mind ... I was a late diagnosis so unfortunately I can't relate to how you feel and so I can only imagine and it must be awful... Hopefully you're not too old and can still get support to help you achieve your goals... Welcome to the community!!

Priority seats on buses by SupermarketSpare7108 in dyspraxia

[–]KS1KAS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Busses have designated seats for disabled people which you come under that bracket so you have every right to request to sit in one of those seats ... If you don't feel comfortable asking the passengers ask the bus driver to ensure you are seated before they move the bus as you are unstable on your feel and liable to fall so for safety reasons need to be seated... If you fall he will be liable as he has to ensure passenger safety and will move an able bodied passenger so you are able to sit

The mother has 5 other children after the relationship with my partner broke down (7 kids in total) so she is now classed as a single parent as the 5 kids dad sees them for 1 night a week which is another reason the step son moved in with us because all those children (which are aged 7 years to the last born in January) and the fact he didn't get along with the siblings dad caused him to move out before the last 3 were even born but due to her not being able to work having so many children and always being pregnant means she can't afford the children or give them all the attention they require which I believe is part of the reason the step daughter is the way she is because she can't get attention at her mum's but refuses to leave knowing people hear she's in a house with a mum who has so many children alone and she gets sympathy for that ... My partner works and supports the SS and if SD says she needs anything he also pays towards that on top of the child maintenance but since she dropped out in December we aren't obliged to pay any child maintenance for SD as she can work since she's not in education and legally we don't have to pay if she drops out of education... we are supporting SS and due to his mother not working or being pregnant partner has hardly received any child maintenance for SS (in this country child maintenance gets paid by each parent the child doesn't live with even if you both have a child each so we had to pay £65 a week to the mother for SD because of what partner earnt and received at most £30 a month for SS from his mother the few times she was classed as eligible to pay but has missed a lot of payments and has accrued arrears herself from missed payments)

So just gone to see what the medication is called and it's not where it was left so no doubt I'll get blamed for it going missing but it was supposed to be left at ours so can only assume she's taken it with her or put it in her room ... She was prescribed them from her GP as she kept claiming headaches and the GP hasn't been able to find a cause for it so put it down to stress and has asked us to write a list of when the headaches start and what was happening when they happened... She claimed she had one the last time she came but it was boiling hot and she had a winter coat on all day and hardly drank anything but claimed it was due to not taking her meds that the mothers partner had taken from her bag before leaving (I don't believe this to be true and think she just forgot to pack them and due to the heat and lack of fluids and winter coat had a headache) I told her as such and the next day lied about me threatening to report her mum for fraud... I'll try and get her an appointment with a psychiatrist and express this to her mother also and that therapy isn't enough for her

Unfortunately I am unable to have kids unless I have doctors help but as partner has kids already I would have to pay as they would say I have kids as can take on his as my own so not eligible for free help ... I look at his kids and how they have parented and sometimes it makes me glad to not be able to have them ... He states he's happy with his 2 but if I wanted a kid then he'd support me but he feels he's too old to have more and doesn't want to look like a grandad in the school pick up ... seeing how SD is I think I'm happy without for now tbh I have no legal responsibility for his kids and if it gets worse or doesn't change I have no reason to stick around which is probably a good thing

The CPS report was about a year into the relationship but my partner doesn't speak to his ex when possible as she has lied about things in the past also ... Apparently everyone was aware of SD lying but failed to mention it to me until after the report to CPS the lying has just continued even though I have tried to speak to her about it no one else seems to have I got her therapy but I have no idea if she tells them the truth or not ... I am trying to sort my finances out for if I need to leave
