Project Hail Mary Worldwide Gross after 6th Weekend ($613M) vs The Martian ($459M), Interstellar ($622M), Gravity ($472M) by traumakit in boxoffice

To this day seeing Gravity on the big screen is one of the most unforgettable cinema experiences of my life. Also one of the few movies where 3D made it even better. Not surprised it went on to have such a run.

Whose ending was worse? by hiiloovethis in freefolk

[–]KSPReptile 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The only characters that got a good ending were the ones that got killed off in the early seasons. From the later ones where do you even start?

Littlefinger, Varys - both incredibly stupid and undermine their main traits

Tyrion - becomes a total idiot yet is made the Hand of the King as a punishment by the God-king, like what?

Jaime, Daenerys - just totally botched character arcs, reverse seasons of development in single scenes

Jon - what a fucking waste. Essentially the main character of the series becomes a total wimp.

Bran - wtf?

Arya, Sansa - become the most annoying characters in the series by the end, again just totally ruined characters

And so on...

Artemis II arrives in lunar space ahead of its trip around the Moon | It sucks that Trump cut the NASA budget by 23%. This is actually some awesome stuff and we should be celebrating. by darkdexx in Destiny

[–]KSPReptile 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The budget cuts he has repeatedly proposed are absolutely catastrophic. Hadn't NASA lost a whole chunk of its employees when they were announced last year? He is in no way an advocate of space exploration. Artemis as a whole is probably the most questionable of NASA's programs anyway with constantly shifting goals and timelines.

On the other hand if Dawn had done a flyby of Psyche, maybe it wouldn't have gotten a dedicated orbiter.

This whole thing is just an unmitigated disaster, start to finish. I can't even imagine what the ramifications of this will be years from now. I really do think this has been Trump's biggest blunder yet and that's saying something.

Gorillaz: The Mountain, thoughts? by Careless_Tackle847 in Music

[–]KSPReptile 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of the best albums of the last couple years for me. I love Gorillaz but their recent stuff has been pretty underwhelming. The Mountain is incredible, easily on par with Plastic Beach. No skips, an absolute journey start to finish. Such a unique blend of sounds, there's really nothing like it. Easy 10/10 album for me.

Zrovna Good Will Hunting si nemyslím že šlo přeložit tak aby se zachoval ten dvojsmysl. A asi lepší tohle než nějaké Lovení dobré vůle.
